While Americans Were Talking About Reverend Wright ... This Government's Foreign Polilcy Was Killing Children

Two-year-old Ali Hussein is pulled from the rubble of his family's home in the Shiite stronghold of Sadr City in Baghdad. The child, who later died in a hospital, was in one of four homes destroyed by U.S. missiles.
WHAT'S THAT ABOUT THEY HATE OUR "FREEDOMS AND OUR DEMOCRACTIC WAY OF LIFE"?

John Lennon and Yoko Ono

On Dec. 8, 1980, Annie Leibovitz met Lennon and Ono at their New York apartment building. There, she photographed the famous couple for the cover of Rolling Stone.

"John took his clothes off in a few seconds, but Yoko was very reluctant,” Leibovitz later told Rolling Stone. “She said, 'I'll take my shirt off but not my pants.' I was kinda disappointed, and I said, 'Just leave everything on.' We took one Polaroid, and the three of us knew it was profound right away."

But the image took on another level of tragic profundity later that evening, when Lennon was murdered on his way home from the recording studio.

Reverend Wright & The Audacity of Truth

BLASPHEMY!!
Say what you want about Reverend Wright's timing, but the over-the-top media reaction and demands that Barack Obama "Disown", "Disavow", "Distance" and "Shun" Reverend Wright has more to do with this one dangerous truth than anything else.

Blasphemy, Jews, Israel, whatever.
Its called timing.
Its called keeping one's eye on the prize.
Its called strategy.
Its called beating them at their own game.

Its called not missing the whole got-damn forest that is the presidency of the United States on account of stopping and gazing at every freaking tree.

Rev Wright has become eerily reminiscent of those purveyors of the "GSWS" that we all know and love.

Yeah they/he make/s some valid points, but does it further anything worthwhile to proclaim that shit ad nauseum, day in and day out to anyone that will listen? Or are we better served by "doing us" all the way to such places as Geofrey's in Malibu, Sushi whoever up the road or...uh....how bout the freakin' White House?!!

So in a poetic way consider yourself free from bondage. Funny that is a money term... or slave term.

Those days are over.

Now a days it is all about wage slaves. Now that is a boat we are all in pretty much. Even the ''class'' that advocates for itself and the Price System. They are also victims of not understanding the dynamic. Nobody ain't got no papers on you.. nor any one else.

I just had to drop in and say that I'm deeply moved that Barack Obama won the race. I watched as Greece, Africa, Spain, Japan, and other countries PARTIED as God's son won the election.

Since when was the world so mesmerized by US politics? I can't help but believe that good won over evil for one of the few times in my lifetime.

O-Bam-A!

The Minister on Hip Hop (Blast From The Past. 1 Year To The Day)

What society wants to do with Hip Hop and young people is "break the mirror, rather than look in it and clean itself up."

The Minister then began his defense of Hip-Hop artists who have come under fire for their lyrical content saying,

"Society wants lyrics cleaned up but it (society) doesn't want to clean itself up." The Minister said that the most negative aspects of Hip Hop lyrics only reflect the mind and heart of community leadership and aspects of a gangster U.S. government.

He added that Hip Hop lyrics were bringing out in public, the private aspects of people's reality. He said, Gangster lyrics are only showing aspects of "a government that is gangster." The Minister said that when rappers talk about killing people, they are no different than those in government who have assassinated leaders of other countries. He also said that when artists speak of drug abuse, they are speaking of a behavior, in the open, that has taken place even in the White House.

What society wants to do with Hip Hop and young people is "break the mirror, rather than look in it and clean itself up." The Minister concluded that part of his defense by stating: "If society cleaned itself up, rappers would have to talk about something else."

The Minister then began part of his challenge to the Hip-Hop artists. He began by speaking of the female womb, telling the audience that the Holy Qur'an advises that we "reverence the womb that bore us".

The Minister followed that beginning by saying that "the human brain is also a womb".

He stated, " A man is what he eats, but what about the mind?" He answered his own question by saying, " Jesus said that "as a man thinketh, so he is". He added that those who feed the mind shape the actions of others.

The Minister said that the media was present at the summit because they knew that it was a world-shaking event. Because" all over the world the youth are being led by you", he told the artists. He then asked , " In Congress they want to pass a law to disturb your right to free speech. Why hasn't the government stopped Hollywood? Why now pick on Eminem? Why now pick on you?"

The Minister then stated, "It's not the lyrics, (they are concerned about). It is that you have taken away the children from their mothers and fathers." And he added, that "every government has used young people to fight its wars", making the point that Hip-Hop was actually interfering with the protocol of the world and the power of parents and government to control the masses of the world's youth.

Bad Timing? Maybe. But What Did Rev. Wright Say That Was Untrue?

"We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yards! America's chickens are coming home to roost."

It is interesting that people flat out dismiss everything that the Rev. had to say. His point about supporting terrorism abroad is essentially correct. The only thing I would take issue with is his "God damn America." If you live here and hence benefit from the American way of life, as a man who is a pastor at a prosperous church truly does, you are damning yourself.

Denmark Vesey Defines The "Global System of Black Supremacy"

There is no such thing as race. The moment you play that game, you fall into psychological quicksand. The harder you struggle, the faster you drown. So, your brotha is going to drop a rope down and give you a chance to pull yourself out.

Black is not a color.
Black is crossover, baseline and clap boards.
Black is Denzel's walk.
Black is Bob Marley dancing to Get Up Stand UP.
Black is Claude McKay: "If we must die, let us die like men."
Black is your grandmother humming "Mary Don't You Weep" while rubbing Vicks on your chest when you are 6 years old and sick.
Black is "I'm going to kill this motherfucker if he puts his hands on me."
Black crossed the Atlantic in the bottom of slave ships and 300 years later pimped so hard, it dragged it's mink on the floor.
Black is why 100 million mesmerized people, watch 10 brothas defy gravity on a court for 48 minutes, night after night.
Black is the audacity to build tombs in the shape of pyramids perfectly aligned with celestial objects, that last 5,000 years.
Black has the middle name "Hussein" and still moon-walks into a post 911 White House.

Aint no "system" Supreme to black.

There's some men who look like Leon Spinks aint a bit more black than Conan Obrien. There's some men look like Marlon Brando, blacker than James Brown. And I'm still the blackest man in America.

Wesley Snipes Sentenced To 3 Years Prison

"I am an idealistic, naive, passionate, truth-seeking, spiritually motivated artist, unschooled in the science of law and finance," Snipes said. He said his wealth and celebrity attracted "wolves and jackals like flies are attracted to meat." He called himself "well-intentioned, but miseducated."

Wesley Snipes called on famous friends to vouch for him, highlighted his clean criminal record and even wrote the government $5 million in checks — all in an effort to convince a judge that his conviction on tax charges should cost him nothing more than home detention and some public service announcements.

None of it worked. The "Blade" actor was ordered to do hard time.
Snipes was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday for failing to file tax returns, the maximum penalty — and a victory for prosecutors who sought to make an example of the action star.

Yet ... These NeoConArtist Bastards Who Lied This Nation Into A War With A Nation That Had Nothing To Do With 911 and That Has Cost This Country Trillions Of Dollars Have Been "Pardoned" and Free To Lobby For More War "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty." It's one thing to operate as though you have power because you have greenbacks. It's another thing to have power because you are truly apart of the white male political powerbase in society. Snipes made a classical arrogant error in judgement... But a black man with high profile status should assume he has a target on his back. I do concur 3 years is a bit much. Don't do the crime if you can't do the(any)time!

Casper, it is one thing to operate as though you don't have power because you don't have greenbacks. It's another thing to operate as if you don't have power ... because you are not white.

Which is the fundamental problem of Go Along To Get Along Negros. It is also the root of what they hate about Hip Hop, which engages in the exercise of self-aggrandizement which the G.A.T.G.A. Negros see as a blasphemous attack upon the mythology of white power to which they subscribe.

Wow. Who would of thunk it? An attack on the black church ... wow.

Religion & Ceeremony - Food For The Soul

"When humans participate in ceremony, they enter a sacred space. Everything outside of that space shrivels in importance. Time takes on a different dimension. Emotions flow more freely. The bodies of participants become filled with the energy of life, and this energy reaches out and blesses the creation around them. All is made new; everything becomes sacred." - Sun Bear

Obama Wins - Mike Fisher Broke It Down ... (Six Weeks Ago)

Michael Fisher said...
I think it is time to gather all the black bloggers around a statement. Namely this:

(1) The Democratic party base has spoken. The numbers show that Mrs. Clinton has lost this race for the nomination.

(2) Mrs. Clinton's increasingly shrill attacks against Mr. Obama has taken on the airs of racism.

(3) That is regrettable because via the candidacy of Mr. Obama for the first time in the electoral history of this nation, the vast majority of African-American stand united with untold millions of white Americans and Americans of all colors.

(4) It appears that Mrs. Clinton is about to shatter this historic unity.

(5) We therefore call on Mrs. Clinton to face the reality of the numbers, concede defeat and thereby heal this wound which she has opened and continues to widen.

(6) It is clear that Mrs. Clinton can not be considered for the Vice-Presidential slot on the Democratic ticket. Mrs. Clinton has denigrated Mr. Obama to the point that any possible praise she would heap on him as a member of the Democratic ticket would ring hollow and hypocritical.

(7) If the Democratic Party leadership were to nullify our votes by giving Mrs. Clinton the nomination despite the popular vote, we call on all African-Americans to withdraw their support from the Democratic Party and to stay at home. We have survived eight years under President Bush, we will survive four years under a President McCain. We will NOT survive the nullification of our most hard-fought for right - our votes.

Benjamin Netanyahu "911 Terror Attacks Good For Israel"

By Haaretz Service and Reuters

The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.

"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."

As Crude Hits $117.6 on Weak Dollar, Nigerian Rebels Blow Oil Pipelines - The Power of Hip Hop

Crude oil for May delivery was down 42 cents to $116.26 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange in early afternoon trading. Meanwhile, average gasoline prices hit another record.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, or MEND, said its members blew up two more oil pipelines in southern Nigeria, the Associated Press reported Monday.
Crude hit the new record as "the dollar is down again and the Nigerian rebels MEND made good on their threats to have more attacks in Nigeria," said Phil Flynn, vice president of futures brokerage Alaron Trading.

In the currency market, the dollar index, which tracks the greenback's performance against a basket of other major counterparts, dropped 0.5% to 71.59. The falling dollar increases the attraction of crude as an investment alternative and pushes up crude's dollar-denominated prices.

Here you go - there are plainly limits to dopamine hegemony in other people's backyards. What's more interesting to me, however, is that an easy solution to the domestic energy crisis is as close as our own backyards - assuming that the barriers of consensus reality would miraculously drop.
