CP: 21pts, 10assts and 2.7stls per game. First player in the history of the game to avg 20pts, 10assts and 2.5+stls. NO: Pre season pick to miss the playoffs yet owns the 2nd best record in the western conference.

Its not even close.

Kobe will be awarded by suits looking to cash out. Don't be a suit.

Bad question DV.

Lebron James. scoring, rebs, assts, court vision, size, youth, character, greater long term return to franchise. anything else?

Do I think Lebron is MVP? No.

You can be the best player and not be mvp. None of these guys can be stopped. CP just had a better and far more eye brow raising season than the other two. Period.

KB: 49 and 10 is 69pts.

CP: 32 and 17 is 66pts. game before that 35 and 10 or 55pts. Pardon the pub but... whats your point?

You sir are a partisan homer... but its cool.

After reading the excerpt below I'm done talking about an award selection outsourced to the media.

"MVP voting takes place immediately following the regular season. Until the 1979-80 NBA season, the Most Valuable Player was originally selected by a vote of NBA players. However, since the 1980-81 NBA season, the award is decided by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. Voting is done by 125 members of the media;[1] three from each of the 30 NBA cities and the rest a mix of national writers and broadcasters."

The "CP:" section should read, "pardon the pun". - KP

Damn KP ...

You make one hell of an argument.

Got me thinking twice. If I shoot a mofo, in broad daylight, on television. You representing me in court.

But, Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...

Not awarding Kobe the MVP would be like ignoring Money Mayweather, and giving the Pound for Pound title to Calzaghe.

(technically) post season stats ARE SUPPOSED TO have no bearing on the mvp. i just shared those numbers for argument sake.

calzaghe's no punk though!! I'd like to see him vs winky.
