I came to political Black partisanship by way of a stretch of cognitive activism. Thanks to a lengthy correspondance and collaboration with a great programmer focused on issues of mind and culture and how some people come to resist or be naturally immune to dopaminergy - I came to the realization that the Black cultural aesthetic is in large measure a defensive adaptation against cultural and psychological predation by dopaminergic culture (which is almost identical with western culture). In fact American Black culture it is the strongest and most durable bulwark against dopaminergy in the world.

Halloween. Innocent Fun For Kids or Recruitment Night For Satan Worshippers?

LA Unified Schools, one of the biggest in the country, no longer celebrate Christmas. That century old national tradition and sacred religious holiday can now only be referred to as "Winter Break" or "The Holidays".

What used to be called Easter is now "Spring Break". However, Rosh Shashona and Yom Kippur are official holidays.

Last year at the Christmas show ... excuse me ... the "Holiday Fest" ... I asked one of the teachers why my kids were singing a Stevie Wonder song. She said the previous year the kids sang "Silent Night" and received complaints about religious songs sung in school, so this year they couldn't sing anything with word "Christ" in it.

Secular fanatics like Skip like to argue that they the anti-Christmas fanatics are simply separating church from state. Bullshit. They are just replacing one religion with another.

They took "Christ" out of Christmas but we have a holiday for Demons and Witches. Halloween is a big deal these days. EVERYBODY participates.

However, few people know the true origin of Halloween. It's marketed to kids, so they assume it is innocent. Funny how people will attack rappers for "influencing" kids, but dress their kids up like mass murderers and fill their stomachs with sugar.

The Mobb Deep rapper said he understands what T.I. is going through and has seen it first hand -- when cops tried to get him to set up 50 Cent, the head of his label.

"Much love to T.I. and his whole family. There is no telling what's going on right now,' Prodigy said. "I've seen it first hand for myself that the cops is lying. When they locked me up they tried to get me to set up 50 Cent. They wanted me to plant drugs and guns in his car. I was like 'Hell no, I ain't doing that.' To anonymous: Grammar is the structure and form of language, pronunciation is the way that it sounds when spoken out loud. I'm sure you feel in your heart of hearts that a person that speaks in such a manner is a fool, but realistically pronunciation (and really even spelling) is and can be as fluid as the vagaries of dialect allow. Who is to say that american's don't sound ignorant for speaking sans an english accent? What gives legitimacy to one evolution of pronunciation, but not another. Essentially, your point is a truism without real meaning, and thats essentially my point: as black people, we are focused on truisms rather than actual meaning. For us, everything is related intimately to dignity and morality. "A person should not speak like that", we think to ourselves, but what about the quality of the thoughts that the speech is attempting to convey? The problem, in my opinion, is that blacks (through circumstance and no real fault of our own) have been taught to preach, not to debate. Stop shucking and jiving. Homie.

Brave Little Girl

Ten-year old Salee Allawee lost both of her legs in a U.S. air strike last year. The same attack killed her 13-year-old brother and her best friend. Salee's sister was also injured and lost part of her foot. Salee is learning how to walk again thanks to the organization No More Victims. Detroit DJ Raises Furor Over 'Light-Skinned Black Women' Party

A Detroit DJ and promoter is backing down from plans to sponsor a party at a local club that would allow “light skinned” black women into the bash for free, according to a report in The Detroit News.

Promoter Ulysses “DJ Lish” Barnes cancelled the event at Detroit’s Club APT after word of the party spread on the Internet, triggering a flood of angry emails and phone calls from around the country and highlighting tensions that sometimes flare between darker-skinned and lighter-skinned African-Americans.

“I made a mistake,” Barnes, who describes himself as a “dark-skinned” African-American, told the Detroit News. “I didn’t think there would be a backlash.”

"I didn't mean to offend anyone," he said. "I had planned a party for other shades (of black women). We were going to take a shade of color each week. Next week was going to be a party for 'Sexy Chocolate' and the week after that ‘Sexy Caramel.'”

Barnes told the Detroit News that he plans to host an event to raise money for a charity to make up for any problems or pain he caused over the party flier.
