Anybody that's been close to the business of sports knows that homeboy is another AA candidate as college and professional sports are the number one avenue in which to PROVE that blacks are superior to whites. They aren’t. They are television commentators. They get paid to talk. Controversy is good for media business. The critical point is the initial comment by Harlan: “If he spent as much time in the film room as he did in the jewelry store, he’d be a much better quarterback.” Of course that’s an extrapolation, but the point is they are questioning his values and his priorities.
