This is one of those posts people shy away from. Some pimp shit that raises so many questions. I was just speaking to my lovely great aunt about this topic the other day (why women choose). She explained to me how she was raised to pick a man who was "doing better than her, not worse." She expressed what she had been taught with a sparkle of nostalgia in her eyes, and her constant glancing at my older sister as she made her points tells me she feels this is still very applicable today. This video speaks to that same point. I wonder how this still lives within our women right now. I ask blunt questions to women and usually get a "safe" response as if they were interviewing for a job...
So I pose the same question to the DV community: Why exactly does the 2011 woman "choose"? Is my great aunt's opinion still valid from a "modern" woman's perspective? Please don't respond if you're gonna keep it anything less than 100. Thanks.
