Shiiiiiiiiiit! Vote to keep their jobs. Vote to keep in office some of the people that may care a little bit about the plight of Black folks. Vote to at least say, hey, you have to think about us when crafting policy. Local politics play a direct role, at least in THIS city, with how people live and their quality of life.
Ford Motors announces 1200 new jobs, CTA lays off 1100. New County Board Pres is elected, and plans to clean house. Guess who's house she's gonna clean. The Black House. All of the good County jobs that the last three generations of Black people used to put their kids through college will be gone.

I mean. If you asked every black person in Chicago ... to get a gun ... and stand is silent protest in front of the mayors office ... demanding THEIR TAX DOLLARS be spent on something else - I can see that.
If you were asking black folks to get a gun ... and march on Washington DC ... and stand in silent protest in front of the white house ... until the black president ends the "war" (no bid contract scam) in Afghanistan that is costing taxpayers $130 MILLION PER DAY ...

But voting in local primaries?
Other than saving the jobs of the people elected ... I don't get it.

I was working with this non-profit after school program once. One day during the summer we took the kids to a theme park. At this time the color 'pink' was pop'n off for some reason. Those young men, in their teens, told us that gay men were looking at them all seductive like. I told them, "cuz you rock'n pink fool. You not in the safety zone of the school campus. You out in the public space and you are sending coded messages with your choice of clothing."
