There is no such thing as "Christianity?" "Christianity" is simply true essence spoken out loud by a powerful individual. The truth and the essence existed long before the Nazarene prophet and will exist until the end of time.

I'm not sure what (in our Bible) is actually valid or true. There have been so many interpretations and editings that the real words become somewhat impossible to determine. The search for the "Q" has often taken the place of the intended message.
Looking at Christianity from a purely historic view would make it seem more similar to "the state of..."'s view.

Good post. I agree with the State Of's sentiment here. The picture of the statues of the Mother and divine son are beautiful. I had never seen the Egyptian version although realize that much of Christianity was influenced by Ancient Egyptians!

But trying to attribute all philosophy or tradition to just one tribe (while discounting the exterior influences throughout time) would seem myopic.
I've seen the Egyptian influence referenced as well as other Old Testament stories that have similarities to other cultures.

Men will continue to contribute atrocities as long as they believe absurdities. Believing in something as fact because your parents did and your pastor tells you to doesn't make it correct. The Ancient Egyptians learned to speak in myths to teach important life lessons. We took a million steps backwards in taking myths as literal facts. To think we have senators that believe in talking snakes is frightening.
I don't care if there will be proof my existence 2,000 years from now. I would care though if people worshiped me as some Messiah and stopped thinking for themselves. Yes sir, it is belief in this "Messiah" that is partly to blame for these "Plantation Negroes".
