You know the crib on the water now
The Maybach stay watered down
Project niggas
giving orders now
The gold presidential just to sport around
I'm from the era of fitted caps and rental cars
Dope pushers with ambition and pretty broads
Walking on Jewish marble,
hand painted the ceiling
Happy Hanukkah nigga,
it's a wonderful feeling
Got my seats on the wood,
playas giving me dap
Lyor like how I move,
want to ride in my lap
I multiplied my hustle,
stimulated my mind
Motivated my niggas
and we'll never divide
These niggas won't hold me back
These hoes won't hold me back
These hoes won't hold me back
These niggas won't hold me back
These niggas won't hold me back

Brother Ed!
Ace Hood?
I aint hip.
Aint up on 'em.
What am I missing?
Ace Hood is an artist signed under Rick Ross' label. While other artists have complained about getting shelved at major labels, Ross has afforded him the opportunity to officially release his a lil above mediocre music--this ugly dude has released 3 official albums! I can imagine he has a great sense of admiration and gratitude for Ross for this.
I imagine Ed is saying one of two things:
1. You would have to be Ace Hood to make such an argument.
2. The lyrics you cite sound like Ace Hood lyrics--elementary "gangsta".
"I like shoes, I tote tools. Niggas step up, I'll shoot em out they shoes."
You always make me giggle when you talk hip-hop, DV. You definitely highlight what some refer to as the "generational gap."

FIRST OF ALL ..NO WAY IN "FUCK" ARE LITTLE WAYNE AND RICK "SAME THEME" ROSS IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS TUPAC LET ALONE LANGSTON HUGHES..HUEY NEWTON..GEORGE JACKSON..FRED HAMPTON..DENMARK VESEY..WHEN I WALK THRU MY COMMUNITY OR THIERS I SHUDDER TO THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE OF YOUR NATIVE AMERICANS..TALKING BACK TO THE WHITE MAN DOES NOT IMPRESS ME..BUILDING A SELF SUFFICIENT NATION DOES..SEND RICK ROSS SOME OF THAT "TONIC"..VISIT THE TUPAC MUSEUM IN ATLANTA AND SEE SOME REAL POWERFUL LYRICS...PEACE
