Droppin these posts like an assembly line...What floors me here is how eagerly these Steppin Fetchitt Negroes play right into their own stupefication. Speaks volumes to the state of consciousness of our people as a collective!

This is some deeply ignorant shit. Not to sound all Cosby again, but this is poverty porn. I couldn't think of a better propaganda video for those who secretly advocate a global kill off of "useless eaters" by the eugenics-obsessed powers that be. First, they propogate the degradated image of a group, market it to that group, then wait for that group to believe the false image and adopt those habits and that mentality as their own. Then, the Powers the Be can point and say, "See? Didn't we say this was who/what they are from the start? No big loss if we let them die off."

There's too much wrong with this video, hard to think of where to start. I guess I could start with that self-hate masked as "self-recognition" that underlies the laughter of the off-key artist explaining her song.

Something like the Nation of Islam, without the corruption, was never needed more.

I'm sure there's a version of this for the poor white so-called "trailer trash" in the works, too.

Just heard an interview done by the young woman who WROTE ... DIRECTED ... and STARRED in this little production.

She says it is satire.

She says she runs a daycare center.

She did this to dramatize the rampant fraud in the system which creates incentives for young manless mothers to deposit their children in social engineering incubators disguised as "day-care" and "Head Start".

Brother Cadeveo ... if I read your comment correctly ... you are concerned that there are people who will interpret this piece of 'performance art' ... literally ... and use it to validate their prejudice against black people in general.

Is that correct?

Yep. You've read me correctly.

It's interesting to hear a little more information about the intent behind the production. If the intent was to make satire, I think it fails as satire. In my view, for satire to work, there needs to be a clear sense that it is presenting something in a way to challenge and call it into question, rather tahn presenting something in a way that glorifies it.

Maybe it's just in the eye of the beholder, but all I see in this video is glorification.

The people this video is targeted at in many cases do not comprehend the concept of satire, and often fail to identify it. One has to be EXTREMELY blunt with it for them to get it.

Which people ... exactly ... is this video targeted "at"?

Don't you think that is an awfully arrogant statement?

You apparently viewed this video.

Do you comprehend the concept of satire?

Were you targeted?

Art has no "target".

You either feel it or you don't.

I think this woman is brilliant.

Her commentary on consequences of social engineering and eugenics programs disguised as 'day-care' is courageous and ahead of its time.

If you are aware of any more relevant commentary on the subject ... please drop a link.

Wonderful post, her intent is crystal clear. For those who have ears let them hear, the rest are too intellectual to "feel" which is the level on which art connects.
