Malthusian Abortionists Don't Sleep

Women: Pa. abortions left us sterile, near death
For years, state health officials missed some unsettling patterns at the three-story brick abortion clinic on Lancaster Avenue.
It was always open late, way past the time the pizza place next door closed at midnight. The women who emerged from it — often poor blacks and Hispanics — appeared dazed and in pain, and sometimes left in ambulances. The doctor who ran the clinic, Kermit Gosnell, had been sued at least 15 times for malpractice. Two women died while under his care.
But the dangerous practices went unnoticed, except by the women who experienced them. They were discovered entirely by accident, during a prescription drug raid by federal agents last February.

I live in Philly so I've been forced to follow this story and it's so disgusting and disturbing. This man was killing babies who were old enough to "walk to the bus stop" (his own words), aborting women who were as much at 8 months pregnant. And now all these women want to come forward and tell their stories of now being infertile because of him or infected because of his disgusting instruments and they expect people to feel sorry for them. And actually a lot of people ARE feeling sorry for them! Why shouldn't someone who is willing to murder their own child be left sterile? Why shouldn't they be left with an arm or leg still in them (as many were and later faced infections) as a nice little reminder of the child they killed? I can't stand this story, it makes me sick to my stomach.

Thanks Craig. I'll be spending the next hour cleaning off my laptop. You gotta give a little warning, like say "put your coffee mug down before clicking here". DAMN, I forgot about that one. LOL

Regardless of a person's reasons for getting an abortion, no woman should be subjected to this heinous treatment that this doctor offered. The issue is not whether or not a woman deserves to be infertile for having an abortion, but here, the question is why was this center in the heart of a heavily black neighborhood ignored for over 17 years?

Why now at this time is this doctor being brought up on charges? The women did complain. Some women did contract venereal diseases, and even worse, some died.

This incident seems like the perfect opportunity to promote an anti-abortion agenda to the detriment of Roe v. Wade, just like the Arizona shooting is the perfect opportunity to harp on gun control.

Didn't you say that a "body of tissue in the form of a human" requires a few years AFTER being born to become a human being?

This is how I recall it. I am not trying to slander you. Please affirm or correct my mistaken memory of your words.

Thank you in advance.

The part I find disturbing about these women "coming forward" is that they smell dollar bills. It's not like this dude was "climbing in their windows, snatching their people up".

They were KNOWINGLY participating in an ILLEGAL endeavor, and have the fucking nerve to talk about how HE killed their "babies"?

No, if this story is correct he illegally, with their CONSENT, terminated a pregnancy.

I can't say that I care if they are now sterile. I can't say that I care if they caught a disease because of his unsterile practices. Unless they were dragged, or otherwise coerced into that dudes clinic they are as complicit in the wrongdoing as he is.

On one of the ABC news stories about one of the "victims" the mother is all up in arms about what the doctor did to her then pregnant daughter. The last line of the story talks about how SHE too had been a patient some years before. They knew dude was doing something illegal.

EVERYONE has the right to be stupid.

Good point Major Harvey. I'm sure this anecdotal story will be used a la Willie Horton style for a political agenda. It will be held high in the debate about legal abortion.

People will jump on the bandwagon, loud mouth preachers will yell into bull horns. And well into the 21st Century our backward fucking nation will continue to argue about this issue.

Well I've never really been pro-choice so if this makes women think twice about what abortion (and particularly late term abortion) really is then I don't see the downside of that. I wouldn't say I'm pro-life either, I just really love babies and I wish people would make better choices about their bodies and how other beings have to pay for their mistakes.

DMG said...

Pink,

So, if (whatever god or gods you believe in, forbid) you were impregnated against your will, would you want to be forbidden by some stranger to expel his seed from your womb? You would want the choice. If you were in an abusive relationship and kept getting pregnant against your will and couldn't provide for the ones you had...you might want a choice.

Pro-choice doesn't mean using abortion as contraception.

That said, don't confuse the issue. Illegal late term abortion in unhygienic conditions is not the same as legal professional abortion procedures. It's not done after hours with the blinds draw using dirty equipment.

Most people Pro-choice included are generally against late term abortions except for very specific circumstances. And most places I know of it's illegal.

Here's how to STOP abortions. Don't get pregnant, f you have the choice. There are numerous contraceptives available.

The same people who are so crazy anti-abortion are the same simpletons who are so crazy anti-condom.

Just saying "don't have sex" has long ago been deemed stupidity.

Pink said...

Maybe you need to define what exactly "against your will" means. I don't believe that any baby is unwanted because preventing pregnancies is one of the easiest accomplishments there is. Like you said, there are many ways. So if I was pregnant, more than likely it would be my will. Short of rape, I don't see myself being pregnant "against my will". People tend to use the example of rape as the reason that abortion is okay but I feel confident that rape is an extreme minority of the abortion cases and usually it's just irresponsibility.

So like I said, I'm not exactly pro-life but I'm far from pro-choice because I think people need to make better choices and stop treating abortion like an option.

"So, if (whatever god or gods you believe in, forbid) you were impregnated against your will, would you want to be forbidden by some stranger to expel his seed from your womb? "

Or Pink ...

Since we are dealing in stupid analogies...

imagine if you will

'you were impregnated against your will, and you had the child, but decided you didn't want to raise it, would you want to be forbidden by some stranger to expel this baby from your life by drowning that child in a tub and disposing of his body in a dumpster?'

What's the difference between killing a child that's been in the womb for 8 months and killing a child that's been born for 8 days?

If it's all about "a woman's choice".

What if she chooses ... after the child is born?

Since it's just a glob.

A "biological nothing".

The equivalent of a cyst.

According to these Malthusian misanthropic Technocratic Plantation Negros who have been taught that a genocidal abortion marketing apparatus that targets black people in particular IS A GOOD thing for black people.

STUPID ASS House Negros playing cheerleader for an abortion industry that is killing more black children than Nazis killed Jews.

Why?

Because the "S"cientific establishment ... a "consensus of scientists" say killing a child in the womb is not killing.

It's a "choice".

Zombie ass cult Negros.

Pink,

In many parts of the world, women are treated like cattle, sold to whomever by her father. 14 years old pumping kids out for some man who could be her grandfather. That's what I mean.

Of course rape and incest is a minority. If there were laws preventing abortion at all costs, like some extremist want. You'd have no choice.

Right now you have a choice. But let me reiterate Pro-choice does not mean using abortion as contraception. Most people are against using it as such. It means you have an option if necessary, and means you don't have to go underground.

DMG said...

When you are finished with your usual, and predictable anti-abortion sloganeering, perhaps we should have a talk about biological potential?

Ectopic pregnancy- FULL BIOLOGICAL potential except it's not an intrauterine pregnancy. It's say attached to, and growing on the woman's rectum or any other nearby organ and will likely kill her if not removed.

Partial Molar Pregnancy- It's got genetic material from mom and dad...but it ain't ever going to be a huma. (69 chromosomes isn't compatible with life you know)

Let's not forget the myriad of congenital anomalies that are lethal soon after birth...like say inoperable cardiac anomalies. Or those with a high post intervention mortality rate. Let's not forget about anencephaly

Not every product of conception will become a functioning child.

So, let me ask you this would you back contraceptive distribution and prescription to teens?

Are you saying that you NEVER said that children are not "fully human" until some fixed point in time after birth?

COON huh?
Good thing that the same obliviousness to racist name calling that I had to generate growing up on the border between White and Black in West Philly is still in place to counter act YOU - A BLACK MAN.

I think we all agree that late term abortions are wrong, except in special circumstances, regardless of whether or not we're pro-choice or pro-life.

I'd like to point out a few things that are being overlooked. First, this clinic was located in a LOW INCOME neighborhood. Later, news articles reported that some women opted for late term abortions, because they had to SAVE money in order to even afford the $800 cost of the abortion. Because they were poor, they were subjected to substandard care and medical treatment, and their complaints, which would normally result in medical malpractice lawsuits were ignored by the STATE, until now.

I have to disagree that these women deserved what they get. We have to be careful of assuming that ppl from lower classes are worth less and deserving of lesser treatment, simply because they don't have enough money or education about proper health and hygiene.

Nowadays, a person's medical options are only as vast as their bank acct.

Major Harvey said...

Forgot to add, my main pet peeve with pro-life ppl, not on this forum, but in general, is their complaints about welfare, obliviousness towards the inadequate foster care system, and criticism without monetary support for impoverished children.

A child costs an average of $200,000 to raise. While I do not condone abortion, I can certainly understand why someone may forgo bringing a child into an already uncaring world. It has to be a difficult choice for some women to choose btwn having a child they cannot feed, or aborting a child they really want.

Either way, ppl have a right to privacy and autonomy over their own bodies.

The problem isn't the abortionist, the abortions, or the sex that causes the pregnancy. The problem starts way before these women even think about having sex. When a person realizes the size of the mountain they have to climb to reach these broads, they'll most likely see it as a lost cause. I think abortion is disgusting but so are a bunch of impoverished, illegitimate, ignorant kids overflowing out the ghettos. It's a damn shame.
