1) Milk doesn't keep our bones healthy, preventing fractures and osteoporosis. In fact, according the Nurse's Health Study, dairy may actually increase the risk of fractures rather than protecting our bones. Countries such as those in Africa and Asia who don't consume large amounts of dairy actually have the lowest rates of osteoporosis.
2) Milk is not the great source of calcium that most people believe it is. First of all, pasteurizing milk kills all of the nutrients, including calcium. Second, spinach, tahini, kale and other green leafy vegetables are the best sources of calcium on the planet.
3) Milk is has been linked with acne by at least three large-scale studies reported in the American Journal of Dermatology. Research shows that there is up to 44% more chance of developing acne in those who drink milk.
4) Dairy may raise cancer risk. Research has revealed that a higher intake of dairy products may increase a man's risk of prostate cancer by 30 to 50 percent. In addition, the body's insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), which is a known cancer promoter is increased by drinking milk.
5) Approximately 75 percent of the world's population is lactose intolerant, which means that they are unable to fully digest dairy. Lactase is the enzyme needed to digest lactose, and most people stop producing it around the age of 5.
6) Dairy is full of saturated fat and is linked to heart disease. Like cancer, countries such as Japan have a very low level of heart disease, and research commissioned by the New Zealand company A2 shows that there could be a link between a protein in milk.
7) People with many different healthy complaints notice a significant improvement when they avoid dairy. Health complaints associated with dairy intolerance include irritable bowel syndrome, allergies, sinus problems, and ear infections. - Mike Adams - NaturalNews.com

You know what, all this fun and games stuff just ended with this:
"Lynch...".
I can understand rough speech. I can understand you going over the top with most of your posts. That's just you, I get it, and I'm cool with it.
But advocating lynchings of physicians and school administrators? I know you put that in there as a dig to me, and CNu. But as we've seen recently fools on blogs just like this one here have taken nonsense like this literally, and gone on to commit heinous acts of violence. You have similar fools on this blog.
There's nothing more to be said to you.
Thank you for this necessary post DV! People force milk on their children and the babies be walking around with snotty noses and congestion. Then adults are blowing each other out of the water with nauseous gas and things. Good post.

Yougurt and some natural cheeses are better sources and usually better utilized by the body.
if schools banned milk the school admin & education departments across the country would be lynched, by the meedja at the very least. just in the last few weeks there was a huge national outcry in the uk over govt plans to scrap school milk despite the sensible reasoning behind it - there are no proven extra nutritional benefits 4 under 5s. of course the meedja n the mob got all riled up & made comparisons between the current govt with the conservatives when thatcher was education secretary & was nicknamed thatcher the milk snatcher 4 scrapping milk. the govt backed down & cameron said his conscience couldnt let him scrap the milk (liar!). not much was said abt the alternative which was extra fruit n veg vouchers 4 poorer fams proving that this was a political & populist issue not a health one. thing is, people dont care 4 the truth, they care 4 what they know & what they have been conditioned to accept that is why there has been so much resistance to healthy eating campaigns like jamie oliver to the extent that mothers bring junk food to feed their kids through the fence bec they're resistant to 5 a day fruit n veg schemes. so it dont matter how much info u give people, if they are still plugged in to the matrix they cant hear u. if they cant care enuff to control their own lives how could they control wat their babies eat? ...one
by the way DMG u're on, your confidence is convincing enuff ; )

That's what you do to slaves. lol.
(I kid.)
But, I dont know that I blame physicians as much with this issue as the education system is it's own beauracracy.
Parents depend on schools to educate and feed their children. School boards and administrations have the power to choose how and what they "feed" their students, mentally and nutritionally.
If parents sent home the brown paper bags or lunchboxes and if kids thought bringing a lunch was cool, the boards would have a problem with over abundance of lunch food and milk. Money would be wasted.
Each of those little cartons of milk cost the state roughly 5-10 cents as I've learned.
Not sure how much time it would take to drop those dimes.
