Global System of Black Supremacy

"Oh, these athletes today aren't loyal to nobody, they just want a paycheck! They don't care about winning!" ...hear that mess all the time.

"Oh, LeBron is being selfish, cuz he only cares about winning!" Huh???

First of all, if anybody should be in the hot seat regarding all this, it should be Dan Gilbert's full time Cavs owner/part time adult ass. He knew as well as everybody else that LeBron was going to be a free agent, and has the freedom to explore other possibilities with other teams. To post some ridiculous nonsense on the Cavs website guaranteeing a championship before LeBron gets one in Miami is beyond stupid...you couldn't get a championship in seven years with him, so how are you going to do it now? Why did you wait until now to pull that rabbit out of your hat? And is whatever they're growing out there in Cleveland really that powerful to make somebody believe any of this mess Gilbert said?

And what betrayal are these fools talking about? Like I said in the beginning, if LeBron went to Miami for the money, and already had a ring in Cleveland, then maybe I could sympathize with 'em. But that's not the case. The Cavaliers have never won a championship, even with LeBron. So why the hell would he stay there? The man has been about W's since high school. PLUS he's taking a cut in pay. The only thing that can closely fathom betrayal is the fact that him, Dwayne Wayde and Chris Bosh apparently had been discussing this move for some time. Oops, trumped that. FREE AGENT. Who gives a sh!t what he was "plotting"...cuz he wasn't.

Fans burning jerseys, grown women sobbing like they lost their kids in an unsupervised swimming pool drowning accident...that was the intended result of the media blowing this whole thing out of proportion by creating this big ass two hour after school "Decision" special in the first place. ESPN criticized it, but they're the ones that showed it. Hey, that's kinda dumb. Had this been a LeBron James home movie completely void of media and outside influences, then different story. But that ain't the case.

All this homegrown, hometown homeboy nonsense is out the window also. I'm sure every player in every sport would like to go to the pros in the same town they played high school and college ball, but that's not the case. Cleveland, y'all gonna have to get over it. THE MAN WANTS A RING. He has not received one in Cleveland. Reason for staying is _______. Exactly.

Yes indeed it is the global system of Black supremacy. Y'all put this man on this pedestal back in high school...now you want him to bow down to what y'all want...yeah right. He will be taking his talents to South Beach, because he has the talent to take his ass to South Beach. This ain't got nothing to do with Art Modell's ass, and seeing that this so-called curse existed before LeBron even ENTERED high school...I really can't see how dummies like Dan Gilbert think he's going to take the curse with him. Maybe Delonte West will be riding around like frickin' Mad Max with the curse in a guitar case I don't know.

I wish LeBron nothing but the best, and I hope Miami comes to Cleveland and knocks the balls off them clowns. Kobe and the Lakers will be the only team to come close...and everybody is excited about that regardless if they were crying or burning their own clothes off.

...and the funny thing is that I know David Stern's ass is somewhere giggling on his way to the bank about how lucrative this whole thing has and is about to turn out. If you weren't really trippin' off the NBA before, oh your ass will be now...

Jesse Jackson criticized Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert on Sunday, saying Gilbert sees LeBron James as a "runaway slave" and that the owner's comments after the free-agent forward decided to join the Miami Heat put the player in danger.

Seems like an appropriate analogy. Dan Gilbert apparently thought LeBron was playing for him personally.

Not sure if Gilbert understood what the fuck FREE Agent meant. The man mad a business decision that was in HIS best interest. If LeBron broke his leg and couldn't play again, Gilbert would have thanked him for his service and gotten out of his contractual obligation with LeBron as quickly and least expensively as possible.

I don't see him huffing and puffing about any third string guys leaving. Only his "biggest most powerful buck".

Jesse often puts his foot in his mouth, and I cringe every time I see a quote of his in print, but he called Gilbert out.

Dan Gilbert has no moral authority when it comes to loyalty. He had no problem firing people when he deems it necessary as he did in 2008:

[The Livonia, Michigan-based mortgage lender, which has a sizable 3,500 employee workforce, announced today that it cut 250 jobs throughout all departments in multiple locations, partially as a result of lower mortgage production. Quicken Loans spokeswoman Elizabeth Jones said the cuts were made to align staff with the company’s current loan volume, but stressed that no further layoffs were planned.]

And he's being sued by 1,400 former employees:

[About 1,400 former Quicken employees are rolled into one or more of four lawsuits against Quicken and its founder Dan Gilbert, Rock Financial Corp. and Quicken Vice President David Carroll challenging its policy of not paying overtime to mortgage loan officers.

Employees in the lawsuits allege they were instructed to work more than 55 hours a week without overtime, sometimes putting in 70-80 hour weeks while supervisors monitored them from an elevated platform in the same room or by listening in on sales calls to ensure they followed protocol.]

Gilbert has been able to operate his businesses w/o any media scrutiny. That may change with his LBJ outburst.

Perhaps Rev. Jackson should have called for a boycott of Quicken Loans until Gilbert apologizes to LBJ. I'll bet that would have gotten Gilbert's attention.
