Why is it so easy to talk poor people into protesting against their own interests on topics like Universal Healthcare? Why the US has always pretended that Israel is not a nuclear power? Why the NRA is such a powerful lobby in this country? Why there is a perception that driving SUV's makes us safe when it's just the opposite. Why the nutriceutical industry gets away with outright lies to sell it's products.
