To put these numbers in perspective. Compare how many people will die of the flu to the number of people killed in doctors offices and hospitals every year. Which is the greater danger?
IATROGENIC DEATHS PER YEAR:12,000 -----unnecessary surgery (8)
7,000 -----medication errors in hospitals (9)
20,000 -----other errors in hospitals (10)
80,000 -----infections in hospitals (10)
106,000 ----non-error, negative effects of drugs (2) *
These total to 250,000 deaths per year from iatrogenic causes.
What kills more people flu or corporate medicine?
What does the word "iatrogenic" mean? This term is defined as induced in a patient by a physician's activity, manner, or therapy. Used especially of a complication of treatment.

Indeed numbers don't lie.
2006-07 flu season 78 deaths in pediatric population. Seasonal flu
2007-08 flu season 88 deaths in pediatric population. Seasonal flu
From late flu season 2009 171 (200 total flu swine+seasonal)pediatric deaths associated with H1N1 pandemic strain.
Since August 30, 2009 (prior to START of flu season) 138 pediatric deaths--113 were H1N1 related.
We are only 8 weeks in...and 10 weeks away from the peak.
Oh, and since you like to quote CBS News...they estimate 4,000 (adult and pediatric) H1N1 related deaths...most deaths from seasonal flu are at the extremes of age, older than 65, and very young children, immunocompromised etc. Respiratory failure due to H1N1 has been rare in those over 65.
"Whoa...hold up there.
Wait just a sec, eh? If you're leaning towards accepting a flu shot because "thousands of people die from the flu every year," I encourage you to take a moment to consider how accurate such a statement is.
When I hear or read about thousands of people dying from the flu - one of the H1N1 strains or any other strain of influenza - here are the questions that pop up in my head:
1. How do we know that these deaths were definitely caused by a virus that causes the flu?
2. How exactly do health officials go about establishing cause of death?
3. What was the health status and medical history of each person who was classified to have died from the flu? Who compiled this information and how comprehensive was each report?
I think these questions naturally come up in my mind because I've long been disturbed by the way government and health officials inaccurately attribute deaths to various causes.
An obvious example is death by cancer. How many of the millions of people who have been classified as having died from cancer actually died from one or more of the following:
* Chemotherapy
* Radiation treatments
* Decades of poor food choices
* Decades of poor lifestyle choices i.e. lack of sleep, lack of exercise, ongoing exposure to prescription and recreational drugs
My educated guess is that the percentage is quite high. That is, a large number of people who "died from cancer" actually died from one or more of the causes listed above.
How about the number of people who die each year from cardiovascular disease. It's in the millions, and it's growing every year. Did the millions of people who died from cardiovascular disease last year really die from cardiovascular disease?
Or is it more accurate to say that some or all of these folks passed on because of many years of poor dietary choices, emotional stress, a genetic predisposition to developing clogged arteries, toxic burden from years of prescription and recreational drug use, or some combination of these factors? Did some of these millions of people who "died from cardiovascular disease" actually die from the impact of anesthesia, having their chest walls opened up, and having a bunch of hands and tools working away at their heart and blood vessels?" DMG ... your corner should throw in the towel.
Even this 4,000 "Guestimate" of the CDC leaves much to be desired.
CBS also reported that 86% of the REPORTED cases of H1N1 deaths turned out not to even be the flu AT ALL.
CBS reported that 98% of reported flu deaths turned out not to be H1N1 AT ALL.
People die. Every day.
H1N1 didn't change that number either way.
Yet you fools are squirting viruses taken from the diseased kidney's of monkeys up people's noses.
The arrogant ignorance is astounding.
MOTI,
Chicken eggs, MOTI, chicken eggs. Quit perseverating on monkey kidneys.
I don't find it odd that you are able to come to these completely false conclusions. You have absolutely NO understanding of medicine or biology. These are the rantings of an ignorant fool. But I've said all of this countless times.
What, do you have some sort of early onset Alzheimer's that I have to keep repeating myself? Perhaps your special diet is failing you?
There isn't any evidence which would suggest the H1N1 virus is any more virulent than seasonal flu. Most people who contract the virus are over there symptoms in a few days. The young and elderly tend to be most affected by H1N1 which is the case in normal flu.
When you approach the H1N1 problem with an open mind and basic understanding of biology, it becomes clear that most of what is purported is hype.
In my opinion, I think the H1N1 scare is a classic example of people using fear to make money. At my university, they have made flu shots (seasonal and H1N1) mandatory. This knee jerk reaction of our administration is representative of many institutions where fear has resulted in poor decisions. In fact, because of the demand for flu shots, shortages are everywhere necessitating the need for more vaccine. Those who are benefiting understand human nature and are probably invested in the whole operation (producing flu vaccines).
"The young and elderly tend to be most affected by H1N1 which is the case in normal flu."
Where are you getting YOUR information? Try again. This time try reading the data...you are a university student, so I suppose you can read and have access to PubMed. H1N1 RARELY causes severe respiratory failure in anyone over 65.
H1N1 really alarmed us. It can be deadly when it becomes severe. A better way to avoid this disease is to have a regular consultations to know the condition of your body. You can have a test using elisakit.
Please take a look at my Medical Holocaust blog. There is a slight disparity in the number of iatrogenic deaths in Blacks, Whites and Hispanics with Blacks fairing the worst. Moreover millions of Americans are killed and maimed each year by preventable the medical errors and again, Black fair slightly worse.
Please to speak to this as not only a Black issue but as a human issue.
The corporate gangsters who run US health care don't see it as a Black or White issues because to them it is strictly a green issue and they don't really care who they kill or maim.
The US pays 3 times the world average for health care. US health care is ranked 37th in the world.
Please speak to this medical holocaust.
So, F.B...you are worried about "medical mistakes", but at the same time your blog promotes...and I quote,
"Like the name implies, I am a fat bastard. I promote, food, hedonism, pleasure, sloth, lust and gluttony."
Seriously??
