Barry Rubin, a well-known and respected Mideast expert and academic, told an audience today at a conference at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA) at Bar-Ilan University here that an Obama victory would precipitate "the most dangerous crisis facing the world.""If elected, he will be the most anti-Israel president in American history," asserted Rubin, who is director of the Global Research in International Affairs (GLORIA) Center at IDC, the Interdisciplinary Center of Herzliya, and editor of the Middle East Review of International Affairs (MERIA) Journal.
Rubin predicted that Obama would choose Robert Malley, a former State Department official who criticized Israel for its role in the failure of the Camp David peace talks in 2000, to be director of policy planning, if elected. And Rubin said it was no accident that Obama's recent reference to the Israel-Palestinian conflict as "a constant sore" was the same phrase Rashid Khalidi, a professor of Arab studies at Columbia University, has used in an article in The Nation.

The only option, other than revisiting Hiroshima - John McCain's pledge to commit American troops for for the next one hundred years - is for a President Obama to offer a sweet Egyptian and Saudi style package of financial incentives to help the much depressed Iranian economy and a nonaggression pact. If refused and Iran gets a nuclear bomb, then Israel will have to assume the same posture of mutual assured destruction that the US had against the Soviets.

The assertion that the 'Israelization of America' was the product of a simple blunder by GW Bush is a common canard and is actually part of a larger ruse.
GW Bush is not smart enough to make that kind of "blunder".
