A high court in South Africa ruled on Wednesday that Chinese-South Africans will be reclassified as “black,” a term that includes black Africans, Indians and others who were subject to discrimination under apartheid. As a result of this ruling, Chinese will be able to benefit from government affirmative action policies aimed at undoing the effects of apartheid.
In 2006, the Chinese Association of South Africa sued the government, claiming that its members were being discriminated against because they were being treated as whites and thus failed to qualify for business contracts and job promotions reserved for victims of apartheid. The association successfully argued that, since Chinese-South Africans had been treated unequally under apartheid, they should be reclassified in order to redress wrongs of the past.

This, my friend, is what I have been talking about the whole time. There is no Black other than what is created by the power system. I know it's difficult to deal with, being the blackest man on the planet and all, but if any group of white people can reclassify CHINESE people as Black, what must that say about the entire classification system?
Those Chinese people will never identify with your visceral understanding of what it is to be Black. They have no need to, because they can belong to both groups, almost at will. How does that make any sense? This is not Black supremacy, this is white folks redefining the world to fit their needs. If it was Black Supremacy, why would Black people in south Africa, who still have not had an opportunity as a collective to participate in the supposed benefits of Blackness, allow some other group that is obviously distinct from them in it's focus and mentality, to become "Black" and reap benefits before those who were ALWAYS Black? When was the last time Chinese people redefined Black people as Chinese so Black people could reap any benefits? IT AIN'T NEVER HAPPENED AND IT NEVER WILL.
