What a PR swindle...

Great way to promote the outdated feMEnist entrapment of marriage...by showing a tiny group that is still begging for that right.

Of course, it's different for lesbian couples where they're generally financially-equivalent and neither suffers a disadvantage in family court.

But in hetero couples, the Man has everything to lose and the womyn everything to gain. Which is why Men are now dodging the shackles like the Heisman pose.

What they are showing here amounts to slaves begging to be euphorically shackled. What a last-ditch effort to pimp marriage. Ridiculous.

What they DON'T show is tons of Men saying NO to marriage...including GAY Men.

It's always the females (lesbian or str8) that cling to this legalized extortion.

Why do you assume that it is only men that have everything to lose in marraige? w
Where did you get that false impression from. You cannot project your experience and take it for the only reality!

Women also have a lot to lose.. financially and otherwise.

^ Uh, my "assumption" is based on statistical analysis. I've studied feMEnism and gender issues for over a year now. So, I think I have a good bead on the subject matter at this point.

Fact is, women have made less on average (because they choose jobs they like instead of for pay) and also spend more. Hence, they have less wealth and carry much more consumer debt.

Therefore, when you merge assets (and later equally split them in the divorce) - guess who loses in that transaction?

Not to mention, family courts are overwhelmingly biased in favor of the women due to vestigial chivalry - especially with regards to child custody and child support.

Meanwhile, the wedding game has grown to become an extremely lucrative multi-cottage industry to financially rape Men and pay out women, wedding planners, caterers, jewelers, divorce lawyers, airlines, travel agencies, honeymoon resorts, etc etc. Everyone gets their bucket filled everytime some sucker says I DO now (except the groom).

Is money the only wealth there is?
How do you quantify other things that a woman brings to the union?
What about childbearing? the opportunity cost, "ruining of body cost"? And so many other things that cannot be quantified in $ .

Marriage , divorce, custody laws are quite different around the world.... so maybe your narrow version of what marriage is pertains only to the US.
