In April 2006 Michael Rubin, along with other prominent neoconservatives, participated in a smear campaign against respected blogger and University of Michigan professor Juan Cole, who was being considered for a tenured position at Yale, Rubin's alma mater.
Writing in the Yale Daily News, Rubin hinted that Cole's analysis of the Middle East might be skewed by anti-Semitism. “While Cole condemns anti-Semitism,” wrote Rubin, “he accuses prominent Jewish-American officials of having dual loyalties, a frequent anti-Semitic refrain. That he accuses Jewish Americans of using ‘the Pentagon as Israel's Gurkha regiment' is unfortunate” (Yale Daily News, April 18, 2006).
On June 1, 2006, Yale's Senior Appointments Committee announced that it had rejected Cole's nomination, despite three other committees having already accepted it. Several observers were convinced that the rejection was a direct result of the accusations against Cole. “I'm saddened and distressed by the news,” said John Merriman, a Yale history professor. “I love this place. But I haven't seen something like this happen at Yale before. In this case, academic integrity clearly has been trumped by politics” (The Nation, July 3, 2006).

Africans are the indigenous Native Hebrews (Jews). The greatest secret of Africa has never been told, and Christian Europe has been seeking to conceal for the past two thousand years is the African origin of the concepts, doctrines, sacramental practices of religion, and the documents that became the foundations of Christianity in Europe.

Isaiah calls a homosexual a faggot - he is publicly humiliated, his career threatened and he's forced to seek psychiatric treatment.
What does that teach us?

The press has carried photographs of both men squaring off in an unseemly shouting match for and against Gates. Gates himself, meanwhile, has maintained a strategically low profile, letting his surrogates do battle on his behalf. Among these is Professor Alvin Poussaint of Harvard University, a respected Black psychiatrist who ought to know better. Joining Poussaint was a Negro lady who recently edited an anti-Minister Farrakhan book for the Harvard Negro crowd. If anyone else was called an HNIC by the other folk I'd be upset, but I am not going to lose any sleep over what they call Skip Gates. They can call him anything but a son of God, as far as I am concerned.
First of all, he more or less calls himself an HNIC in the very same interview. He uses the "n" word ("nigger," in case you do not know what I am talking about) at least five times in the article. Some of these references are to himself. This is in addition to a couple "bullshits," one "shit" and one "big-dick motherfuckers." The poor lady interviewing him probably had to wash out her ears when she left his newly renovated twenty-five million dollar office. What do you do with a kneegrow who calls himself a nigger in an interview with a white magazine? Are you supposed to defend him when the other folks call him inside the name he gives himself? And then there is his wife (a white lady according to the interview). She resorts to the "f" word (yes, the one with four letters in it), in the same article, in a reference to "this f...ing little suburb" in which the Gates' were happily ensconced until some old lady called their daughter--yes, you guessed it--a nigger.
Boston Magazine probes Gates' career with relentless diligence. In high school he was snubbed by little white Linda Hoffman who he "desperately" wanted to make his girlfriend. With his "first real girlfriend" he became one of the first Negroes to come out of the closet into an interracial relationship in his neck of the West Virginia woods. He celebrated receipt of the MacArthur "genius" grant by buying a set of Amos and Andy videos. He takes colleague Anthony Appiah and his "English looking" steady boyfriend along from job to job (they have been together as students or professors at Cambridge, Yale, Cornell, Duke and Harvard Universities). At Harvard he was befriended by Professor Peter Gomes, "a black, openly gay conservative Republican and Anglophile" theologian.
Brer Gates is the most pristine example we have in the world today of a classic HNIC. He was invented by the other folk, as the article makes plain. "The New Yorker," says Boston Magazine, "effectively anointed Gates... premier black intellectual in the United States" as well as "chief interpreter of the black experience for white America." The man, they say, is "an unapologetic elitist" who fancies himself the heir to W.E.B.DuBois' legacy as chief honcho of the "talented tenth."
Whenever the other folks have wanted anybody to beat the rest of the race over the head with, Brer Gates has been on the scene, like an HNIC machine. They gave him an unprecedented full page op-ed in the New York Times to attack the Nation of Islam's Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews. This op-ed was actually typeset in the shape of a Star of David. There is no evidence that Gates even read the book, but he pulled together some platitudes attacking it anyway. When Black folk in Toronto were arrested protesting the revival of the racist Broadway musical Showboat, they flew Gates up to take the Jewish line against the Black protesters. (In the original Broadway production Paul Robeson, who the press is crying crocodile tears over these days, sang "Niggers All Work on the Mississippi" in the show's hit song, "Ole Man River.")
In a Boston Globe interview, Boston Magazine's editor says he knows very well what HNIC means. The moral of this story is that selling out does not guarantee respect from those who purchase your dignity, however many Mercedes they let you drive, and however many $890,000.00 houses they let you live in. After they buy your self-respect they themselves will turn around and call you names. Wannabe HNIC's (I know there are lots of you all out there), don't say I didn't warn you. Don't come running back to the Black community when they hurt your feelings.

(and still ... 0 WMD's)
BAGHDAD, Iraq — Four U.S. soldiers and a Marine were killed during combat in Anbar province, the Sunni insurgent stronghold west of Baghdad, the military reported Sunday. The five newly reported deaths on Saturday raised that day's toll among American forces to at least 24, the third deadliest single day for U.S. troops since the war began in March 2003.
The military gave no details on the Anbar fighting and said the identities of the dead were being withheld until family could be notified.
Before the latest deaths were announced, Saturday's carnage had included 12 soldiers killed in a Blackhawk helicopter crash northeast of Baghdad, five killed in a militant attack in Karbala and two others slain in roadside bombings.

Had Isaiah Washington insulted TK Knight's mother - the incident would not now be a National issue.
The fact this is all over the news, and the fact that we are discussing it now, is only because he dared utter the word "f_a_g_g_o_t".
He could have called TK Knight's mother a Funky Ho ... and the issue would have never left the set.
Since when are homosexuals held in higher regard than mothers?
Who was right in the argument, who was wrong, what Washington has to say has all been thrown out of the window because he uttered the word "f_a_g_g_o_t".
The homosexual lobby / propaganda machine is seizing upon this as an opportunity to gain power by insisting upon and receiving a public crucifixion of Isaiah.
"Fire him! Fire him! Fire him!" is being chanted by queers all over the country who secretly resent heterosexual brothers like Isaiah Washington anyway.
If they fire Isaiah behind this, fag... oops ... excuse me ... "gays" will be actin' a fool next week:
"What did you call me! What was that! Oh. I didn't think so! You better watch your mouth Mr. Mannnnn!"

How to dismantle an atomic crisis
Seymour Hersh writes an article in the New Yorker. President George W. Bush makes a statement to the press in Washington. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issues a letter from Tehran. But there is something missing from this debate: the voices of the people with the most to lose.
This is a campaign to bring the voices of Iranians and Americans into a discussion that is being dominated by extremists on both sides and bringing us closer to the unthinkable: nuclear war. Our leaders continue to rattle their sabers and spread fear, but we're ready to talk, and if they won't take that first step, we will take it for them. We've had enough. Enough posturing. Enough threats. Enough fear.
Our campaign begins with individuals willing to stand up and say no. This website will collect and display photos of people from the US and Iran (and other countries as well) holding up a hand in the universal symbol for "stop!"
These photos are the first step in what we hope will become an international campaign in which people from both sides will work together to prevent any attack. These are the people who will suffer if war breaks out.
There is no time to lose. Please join us! Add your photo to the site today, and be sure to join our email list so we can keep you up to date as the campaign develops. Our email list will be the backbone of this campaign - so sign up now!
Once we reach critical mass, we plan to hold actions to call on our leaders to sit down at the negotiating table. It’s time to put a stop to this dangerous cycle of threats and provocation and use diplomacy to avert this crisis. It’s our lives that are at stake.

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. - "SILENCE IS BETRAYAL" Speech
"Each day the war goes on the hatred increases in the heart of the people of Iraq and in the hearts of those of humanitarian instinct.
The Americans are forcing even their friends into becoming their enemies. It is curious that the Americans, who calculate so carefully on the possibilities of military victory, do not realize that in the process they are incurring deep psychological and political defeat.
The image of America will never again be the image of revolution, freedom, and democracy, but the image of violence and militarism."
And finally, as I try to explain for you and for myself the road that leads from Montgomery to this place I would have offered all that was most valid if I simply said that I must be true to my conviction that I share with all men the calling to be a son of the living God. Beyond the calling of race or nation or creed is this vocation of sonship and brotherhood, and because I believe that the Father is deeply concerned especially for his suffering and helpless and outcast children, I come tonight to speak for them.
This I believe to be the privilege and the burden of all of us who deem ourselves bound by allegiances and loyalties which are broader and deeper than nationalism and which go beyond our nation's self-defined goals and positions. We are called to speak for the weak, for the voiceless, for the victims of our nation and for those it calls "enemy," for no document from human hands can make these humans any less our brothers.

MOGADISHU, Somalia - Attack helicopters strafed a Somali village in southern Somalia on Tuesday, witnesses said, following two days of airstrikes by U.S. forces — the first U.S. offensives in the African country since 18 American soldiers were killed here in 1993.
A Somali lawmaker said 31 civilians, including a newlywed couple, died in Tuesday's assault by two helicopters near Afmadow, a town in a forested area close to the Kenyan border. The report could not be independently verified.
A Somali Defense Ministry official described the aircraft as American, but witnesses told The Associated Press they could not make out identification markings on the craft. Washington officials had no comment on the helicopter strike.
"SATAN IS YOUR GOD NOW, NOT ALLAH!!!"
Captain James Yee, a Muslim Chaplain, was posted in Guantanamo Bay, in 2002, but less than a year after serving there, he was accused of espionage by the military and faced charges so severe, that he was threatened with the death penalty. Yee was locked away in a Navy prison in Charleston, South Carolina, spent 76 days in solitary confinement and was subject to abusive treatment. In 2004, the government dropped all charges against him.
"Now, how was religion being used against the prisoners? Well, prisoners would come and they would tell me that when they were taken to interrogation, they were, of course, shackled at the wrists and at the waist and at the ankles, as prisoners down in Guantanamo are shackled, and they would tell me that they would be forced to sit in the center of what was painted on the floor, a satanic circle. The interrogators would attempt to force them to bow down and prostrate, you know, like in the form of the Islamic prayer where Muslims bow down and prostrate, while the interrogator is screaming at that prisoner that “Satan is your god now, not Allah!” This is how religion was being used against prisoners."

Whatever they say about Saddam, he stepped right up and went to his death like a man. No hood. No begging. No cries of innocence. Looked cats right in the eye, said "God is Great!" and swoooosh!
Can you imagine if it were the other way around? If Bush or Cheney or Wolfowitz or Feith or any of the other NeoCon pro-War, WMD lying bastards, had to take a bit of what they dish out? Don Imus did a funny thing about it on the air this morning.
During the 8 AM ET hour of Don Imus's show this morning he and Mike Barnicle fantasized about how various Republicans would react to being hung on the gallows.
Imus: "I was – I tried to imagine how various members of the current administration would behave were they subjected to the gallows as Saddam Hussein was. Um, and I can see Rumsfeld –"
Barnicle: “He wouldn't take it. No blindfold for Rumsfeld.”
Imus: "That's what I was thinking, you know. ‘F-you.' You know, you go to the gallows with the noose you want, not the noose you– or the noose you have, not the noose you want–"
Barnicle: "That's exactly right."
Imus: "Or Whatever. But Cheney–"
Barnicle: "Just as that trap door opens, he'd drop an f-bomb to all of them."
Imus: "How about Cheney?"
Barnicle: “I don't think Cheney would make it up the steps.”
Imus: "Now this is a guy who would, this is a guy – he'd wet his pants and he'd whine and start
Barnicle: "Well He would order as a last meal 400 pounds of bacon."
Imus: "Yeah, ‘cause this is a guy got six deferments just to get out of Vietnam because he had, what was that phrase he used – he had some other more important issues to deal with. One of ’em, the last one, was getting his wife pregnant just to keep from having to deal with this."
Barnicle: "Oh God."
Imus: "Uh, who else? Wolfowitz, he'd cry."
Barnicle: "Oh yeah, he'd be shot in the back running away."
Imus: "Yeah, exactly. Yeah, or some of the other key players."
Barnicle: "Richard Perle."
Imus: "Oh, he'd, oh God, he'd, he would soil himself. So–"
Barnicle: "Can't you see him being dragged up by his cap?"
Imus: "Oh yeah."
Barnicle: "Clinging, splinters in his fingernails."
Imus: “A combover of his hanging all down the side of his head.”

Is this yet another fake war designed to widen the divide between the West and the Islamic world?
As the international community embarks on a frantic diplomatic quest to extinguish the raging political and sectarian fire in Iraq, remnants of the Neocons led by John Bolton, the US Ambassador to the UN, and the same Think Tank warmongers behind the hype to go to war in Iraq, are busy igniting another one in Somalia.
It turns out the Ethiopian invasion of Somalia, supposedly masterminded by Prime Minister Meles Zenawi of Ethiopia is even less popular in Ethiopia than it is in Somalia.
Who wants this war and why?

Halliburton’s subsidiary KBR (formerly Kellogg, Brown and Root) announced on January 24, 2006 that it had been awarded a $385 million contingency contract by the Department of Homeland Security to build detention camps in the United States. According to a press release posted on the Halliburton website, “The contract, which is effective immediately, provides for establishing temporary detention and processing capabilities to augment existing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Detention and Removal Operations (DRO) Program facilities in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs. The contingency support contract provides for planning and, if required, initiation of specific engineering, construction and logistics support tasks to establish, operate and maintain one or more expansion facilities.”

What's wrong with this picture? You would think they actually found Weapons of Mass Destruction. Should those responsible for fabricating the rush to war, that has killed 3,000 American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people, be hanged too?
CRAWFORD, Texas (CNN) -- Anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan was arrested Thursday afternoon outside President Bush's ranch, according to a law enforcement official.
Sheehan, who in the past has camped out for weeks in protest outside the ranch in Crawford, Texas, was arrested for blocking the road leading to the property, Texas Department of Public Safety's Tela Mange told CNN.
