GAY'S ANATOMY

Had Isaiah Washington insulted TK Knight's mother - the incident would not now be a National issue.

The fact this is all over the news, and the fact that we are discussing it now, is only because he dared utter the word "f_a_g_g_o_t".

He could have called TK Knight's mother a Funky Ho ... and the issue would have never left the set.

Since when are homosexuals held in higher regard than mothers?

Who was right in the argument, who was wrong, what Washington has to say has all been thrown out of the window because he uttered the word "f_a_g_g_o_t".

The homosexual lobby / propaganda machine is seizing upon this as an opportunity to gain power by insisting upon and receiving a public crucifixion of Isaiah.

"Fire him! Fire him! Fire him!" is being chanted by queers all over the country who secretly resent heterosexual brothers like Isaiah Washington anyway.

If they fire Isaiah behind this, fag... oops ... excuse me ... "gays" will be actin' a fool next week:

"What did you call me! What was that! Oh. I didn't think so! You better watch your mouth Mr. Mannnnn!"

The gay debate aside, Washington is clearly an a**hole who wont leave well enough alone.

I tend to look at things in terms of my bank book. Why Washington would jeopardize his hundreds of thousand dollar per-episode-paycheck by stirring the pot at the Golden Globes is beyond me.

He (Washington) needs his ass beat for that alone....And I bet/hope his black relatives have already told him so.

Nah Robyn,

A man can't let money dictate everything.

1) He said he did not say it.
2) If he did say it, allowing Isaiah to be publicly crucified as demonstration of homosexual power would be mistake.

At the most, apologize, give the man a pound and move on.

... well maybe just apologize and move on.

but where does an apology fit into denial? first he would have to acknowledge that he blew it; whether he flew off the handle or he absolutely meant to say it. But he is so far off base at this point that the EP should let him go just so she can get back to work.

this don't make dollars or sense.

But Jasai, we have no idea why they were arguing to begin with. For all we know this TR Knight character could have been guilty of a more egregious offense than name calling.

By making the entire argument - and distribution of justice - completely contingent upon who said "faggot", disproportionately elevates that issue to the top of the relevance pyramid.

Which is why I suspect this little hissy fit has been elevated to a National Issue.

Had Isaiah insulted this man's mother - he would not be in the trouble he is in now.

Since when do Faggots get more reverence than mothers?

As much as I agree with you Denmark (surprise!), Washington needs to learn there's a time and place for everything. Frankly, the Golden Globes, one of the few times you're on the stage in front of the entertainment world, isn't the time to say something. Rise above heckling reporters, be graceful and say "no comment" As my mama says (who I do revere :-) ) "Hon, just this once, can't you just shut it? *then gives her patented annoyed eyeroll*"

Come on C! Me n you always on the same page!

True, Mr. Washington could have exercised more discretion. But let us acknowledge that discretion is not the issue here.

The confrontation he had with Knight did not deserve to become a federal case.

This has been turned into a national issue only because it involves "gays". By publicly crucifying Isaiah - "Fire Him! Fire Him! Fire Him!" - a precedent is established that gives gays an inordinate amount of power and equates "homosexuals" with other ethnic groups.

Personal responsibility DV. This is what we are stressing to black men (at least the man and I to our boy). We can not get caught up in the wide treacherous net that is the gay agenda or the racist cop agenda or the baby mama agenda, if we simply excersize a little personal responsibilty at the outset of an issue.

...we could argue this point all day couldn't we?

Ooohhh.

Damn.

Good point Jasai.

OK

DV, did i read that right or is this merlot making me see cartoon knockout stars???

that was WAAAAYYY too easy.

Denmark Vesey said...

LOL.

Nah Jasai. Not the merlot. I'm a sucker for the "personal responsibility" argument.

Just because they set a trap - does not mean we have to walk into it.
