ISAIAH THOMAS VERDICT: JEALOUS OPPORTUNISTIC BITCH or VICTIM OF UNWANTED ADVANCES AND VERBAL INSULTS?

Jury finds Isiah Thomas harassed former executive

October 2, 2007
New York - A federal jury in New York has granted former New York Knicks executive Anucha Browne Sanders $11.6 million in damages to settle her sexual harassment lawsuit against Madison Square Garden.

A jury of four women and three men in Manhattan federal court deliberated for three days before deciding Anucha Browne Sanders, 44, an ex-Knicks senior vice president of marketing and business operations, was sexually harassed by Thomas and MSG. Dolan and the Garden must pay punitive damages, the jury said.

The jury found that the Garden owes $6 million for allowing a hostile work environment to exist and $2.6 million for retaliation. MSG chairman James Dolan owes $3 million.

The Garden said it would appeal.

A verdict earlier Tuesday found that Knicks coach Isiah Thomas subjected Browne Sanders to unwanted advances and a barrage of verbal insults, but that he did not have to pay punitive damages, according to the Associated Press.

After an ugly, three-week trial, that verdict gave Thomas a partial victory in the $10 million lawsuit, reports the AP.

"I'm innocent, I'm very innocent, and I did not do the things she has accused me in this courtroom of doing," Thomas said. "I'm extremely disappointed that the jury did not see the facts in this case. I will appeal this, and I remain confident in the man that I am and what I stand for and the family that I have."

$11.6 Million for "unwanted sexual advances". Talk about incentivizing people to be victims.

What sexual advances were allegedly made? I havent seen any real detail in the news.

Interesting that a location, Madison Square Garden, is named as a defendant. Smart lawyering.

When I worked for the City, we averaged 3-4 NEW sexual harassment or race discrimination cases per week. It was insane. Free money.

I was just reading on CNN and ESPN, et al...Thomas allegedly called her a bitch and a ho, then switched up after a while and starting hitting on her. He allegedly said "what are your job duties, you ho" There was also a season ticket holder fan called as a witness for the plaintiff who testified that he saw Thomas say "it was distracting working with someone so attractive but good job."

Interesting.

Civil society is funny society.

Instead of having a society where every man and women is free and independent, we keep our class system operating to control people with money.
Ha ha.
