"AMERICA! YOU ARE TOO ARROGANT!" The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On The War In The Middle East

These are the times for real choices and not false ones. We are at the moment when our lives must be placed on the line if our nation is to survive its own folly. Every man of humane convictions must decide on the protest that best suits his convictions, but we must all protest.

I say we must enter the struggle, but I wish to go on now to say something even more disturbing. The war in Iraq is but a symptom of a far deeper malady within the American spirit, and if we ignore this sobering reality we will find ourselves organizing clergy- and laymen-concerned committees for the next generation. They will be concerned about Iran and Syria. They will be concerned about Lebanon and Afghanistan. They will be concerned about Saudi Arabia and Sudan. We will be marching for these and a dozen other names and attending rallies without end unless there is a significant and profound change in American life and policy. Such thoughts take us beyond Iraq, beyond Iran, but not beyond our calling as sons of the living God.

More like sons of the greatest asshole that has been laid on the human race.

King was a lying hypocrite.

The religious people are one tier down from the bankers, businessmen, and kings. Capital is on the top tier.

Religious Ju Ju Voodoo is a lot of the problem. Sons of god my ass.
More like devil worship they are into.
You can`t have Angels without Devils, and Politics made up both to trip and trick the gullible.

Yeah maybe Skip.

But King died 40 years ago, and he's still more alive than you are right now and more relevant than "Technocracy" will ever be.

You are a spiritual pigmy taking shots at a soulful Shaquille O'Neil.

You are out of your league man. Play your position. Learn something.

Get it through your head that we are at odds, and are not going to agree.

I consider your position the lesser.

Denmark Vesey said...

Who is attempting to agree?

Seeking your agreement on the existence of God and the reality of spirit is like seeking your agreement on the existence of sunshine and the reality of oxygen.

Your miseducation regarding the great religions of the world and your spiritual poverty is no skin off my nose.

You think you are provoking religious people with your anti-God sloganeering when in fact you are obviously seeking spiritual help. You come off like a drunk heckling an AA meeting ... night after night.

Come on Skip. Take one step towards God and he will take two steps towards you.

Don't be scared.

The ones that are of middle east origin that were made up by the Kings, Politicians, and Bankers ?

Your kidding right ?

King was absolutely on fire in 1967-68.

Skip,

You are cynical I don't see how you make it through the day.

Big J,

Skip is not serious. It's his way of saying "please ... please ... help me understand what I am missing. I don't get it and I'm afraid."
