Vick Takes A Deal. The Pork Chop Eating Hypocrits Will Sentence Him To Prison.

"After consulting with his family over the weekend, Michael Vick has asked that I announce today that he has reached an agreement with federal prosecutors regarding charges pending against him,"

"Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made. Michael wishes to apologize again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter."

The terms of Vick's sentence were unknown, but reports indicate it could be a sentence of between 18 and 36 months in federal prison. It could mean the end of Vick's career. If he serves three years, he wouldn't be out of jail until he's 30. And he has yet to face punishment from the NFL, which has restricted him from attending Falcons camp but has not issued any additional penalties.
Skooter Libby had more to do with what happened on the right, than Michael Vick had to do with what happened on the left.

Libby is found guilty and released. Vick is found guilty and will sit in a cage for 3 years.

Summin' Aint Right.

Any logical person would agree with you that the judical system is un-balanced when it comes to the common folk, the celeb folk and the powerful folk. However, as unfair as this system can be... It has never been a secret. My parents and grandparents have taught me since I was 5 that the system is not in my favor due to economics & race. I was told specifically that "Life is not always fair" That a wise man listens, learns and applies the lessons taught in real life.

Now the lesson I that I was taught at 4 was to take responsibility for your actions. When you know the rules and you disobey and get caught you have to accept the consequences associated with your actions. Basic elementary life skills.

The debate that we have with you on this topic is the following:

#1 Although we can agree that compared to Libby Vick's punishment is greater compared to the crime. I can acknowledge that.

#2 You can't seem to agree or publish that this man or any man/woman who decides to risk an enormous positive opportunity $$$ he/she is in for a hobby which he/she knows is against the law. Then when he/she gets caught... He he/she is to blame and should take responsibilty. Don't blame anyone else for their actions but themselves. Not your momma, daddy, caddy or media!

Are you willing to agree on point #2 ??? If not then why.. without the rhetoric.

Denmark Vesey said...

Yes, Yes Casper we get it.

Your momma taught you the world was unfair for little black boys and that's just the way it is and just go on and get used to a world where black people are treated like little second class peons and just stay out of trouble and get a job working for good white folks and maybe one day you can wear a suit and all the problems of black America are caused by black Americans who dare demand the same rights and the same justice as everyone else.

We get that Michael Vick made a lot of money and because of that money he deserves whatever happens to him and it's his fault and if he dies in prison that's what his black Hip Hop ass gets.

OK. Casper?

Have we established your point?

You are absolutely correct.

Are these hypocrites as eager to refute the meat and poultry industries as they are to condemn Michael Vick?

The reason why these Walt Disney raised children know nothing is because they are happy being ignorant.

If these dogs looked like snakes or spiders i’m sure they would have no problem with their fighting. They’re only getting their collective panties in a wad because they’re thinking about this emotionally and they all actually ‘like’ dogs.

Where is the logic. They wear leather right? They eat meat right? Where is the outrage about the industries that allow you those pleasures? The reason they’re not upset with them is that they don’t see the cruelty that goes into killing a cow.

We eat bacon because we take pleasure from it, not because it is necessary to our survival or health. It gives us pleasure, just as Mr. Vick took pleasure from watching dogs tear each other apart. In order for Mr. Vick to derive this pleasure, dogs had to be tortured; in order for us to derive the pleasure of eating bacon, pigs must be tortured.

I should add, incidentally, that what Vick’s pit bulls went through during their miserable lives is a far cry from what a pig goes through in a factory farm. Barely out of the womb, piglets are held up by one leg and subjected to the following: without anesthetic, their genitals are cut off, their tails are cut off, their ears are sliced, and their teeth are pulled out with pliers. This is how they BEGIN their lives. The rest of it will be spent in a space barely large enough to move. It’s essentially a life-long torture chamber for a sentient animal with a nervous system fully capable of feeling pain just like you do.

Ok, so they are hypocrites, we all acknowledge and accept that fact. Does this mean that Vick should not be held accountable for his actions?
I fail to see how one can justify one wrong by pointing out several other "wrongs".
Eating meat is not against the law, if one has prolems with the way the "meat industry" is run, then lobby to change the laws governing that industry to make it more humane......... all this still does not nullify the fact that 1. Vick broke a law, and 2. He didn't treat his dogs very nicely.
If one feels that dog fighting should be made legal...... then by all means lobby to change that law!

"Law without justice, is like a parent without love".

Putting Michael Vick in prison is not just. Putting Michael Vick in prison is not a wise use of a human being.

How many dogs lives will be saved by putting Vick in prison?

How many dogs could be saved if Michael Vick wrote a check the SPCA for $1,000,000 and toured the country where dog fighting is popular and encouraged young men not to participate?

Over 1,000,000 pigs and cows will be slaughtered tonight, in a manner much more cruel than what happened to Vick's dogs.

Hypocrisy, even when the hypocrites are ignorant, is a dangerous policy.

Not an excuse but many of livestock products blacks eat still are from their ancestors not having access to many other forms of food.

Secondly, as cruel as it may be. Perdue killing chickens is legal. Dog fighting is not. So as much as yo may not like the law after the fact. It is the law like speeding. Even though your speedomedert says 120mph. You do the speed limit because you understand the alternative. Their is no excuse for Mr. Vick.

In some cases DV it's fact. Now you wish to argue with facts. Or do you wish to pass the facts on to your sons and daughter's. Again when your in a gated community all day maybe you loose touch with the real streets. So if I told you that my father told me to put a condom on my johnson because I may get a girl pregnant or catch a disease that you see something wrong with passing those facts to me as well.??

Casper,

80% of being a slave, is accepting it.

When Denmark Vesey organized his slave revolt in Charleston SC, he said that his biggest obstacle was not the minority white population of rich planters, but certain black slaves afraid to be free.

Yeah yeah yeah - It's the Law.

"Laws" are about as fluid as the stock market. They change all the time and the rules are not applied equally.

Blind obedience to man made law is slavery.

Challenge authority. Insist on Justice.

Sometimes, things aren't as complex as we'd like to make them. Very simply, there is something wrong with sending a man to prison with rapists and murderers for funding a dog fighting ring. Talk about "apples and sushi!"

Those of you who lack the ability to use your gut to gage fair from unfair scare the hell out of me.

This issue is not deep. Some crimes are more serious than others -- punishment should be prescribed accordingly. 3 years in federal prison and the potential loss of your entire career is complete nonsense.

Make the man pay a fine, subject him to public reproval and lets move on.

Michael Vick is not a danger to society so why the hell is prison even a part of the discussion?

I can only shake my head at those who, for whatever reason, arent able to see this.

This is not about black, white, rich or poor. This is about plain fairness and an apparent inability to see/smell a steaming pile of bullshit!

We agree. But what's new. After the fact now we are addressing the merits of laws that have been in play for decades. DONT DO THE CRIME IF YOU CANT DO THE TIME...Chorus: Yeah! Dont do it!

It's easy for you to say it when you didn't live it. As though Africans didn't fight from being enslaved. You need to quit the inaccurate assumptions and read a little more on the slave trade. Not your american published books by the way @ your Bel Air library.

Africans? I'm talking about you.

What's your excuse?

It's 2007 and they are throwing young black men in jail on trumped up charges and your walking around preaching "dat's jus da way it iz".

Trapped in your Bel Air home is being enslaved DV. Not being able to relate to 70% of your race who earn less then $20K a year is being enslaved. You need to free yourself and hit Compton. Stand on the corner and rap to the hommies. Your old and out of touch!. You defend gansta rap, although your kids won't dare listen to it. You bitch about laws although you dare not get caught speeding or fear running a stop sign because LAPD will beat your ass. You all talk brother! But that's cool... Malcolm has a name for brother's like you. HOUSE NEGRO!

That's the slave that stays in the house for fear the real niggers will kick his punk ass!

A groupie is a person who, while he/she may be a fan at some level, seeks intimacy (most often physical, sometimes emotional) with a famous person.

What I really find to be a misuse of outrage is the fact that a majority of crime against black folk is from other black folk. But your so worried about a millionaire who decided on his own to violate well known laws. And for anyone who does not support the millionaire you have issues with. Where are your priorities? Phuck him. I care about the brothers who really are falsely accused of shit. I also care about brother's committing crimes against other brothers. But I know... Vick is your boy.. Poster on the wall and all...

paul said...

Casper you claim you know so much about the hood. Do you know Vick's upbringing? His 16 year old unmarried mother and 17 year old father brought him into the world and housed him in the projects where drug dealing and drive by shootings were the norm. Football proved to be his way out of poverty, crime and death. I'm not making excuses, but your environment plays a major role in who you become as an adult. He made mistakes (who doesn't?). To much is given, much is expected, but this witch-hunt makes me furious. It's appalling that this brother is facing RICO charges. The justice system is a joke! He's about to be jailed while dubya is walking around free with more blood, corruption and criminal activity on his hands than a little bit. Casper, you're the house negro for not recognizing injustice when you see it.

Anonymous said...

Paul do you drive 20mph miles over the speed limit every where you go each day?

Answer that question? Why not?

Secondly, I was raised by my single mother in the projects too Paul SO! Half my boys have been raised in similar situations. AND!
I have Asian friends who left their homelands with nothing and graduated from Yale AND! See brothers like you Paul are apart of the problem. You enable brothers as such to continue to do fucked up shit. Then you treat them like your their grandmother. Ah it's not your fault Mike. They made you fight dogs. You only did it to earn a living Mike. Those racist white men and hating brothers made you break the fucking law Mike. Not you! Do you go out each day breaking the law Paul? Why not? Since your so fucking bad. Go for it first thing in the morning. Now when you boys are ready to be strong black men... And get off of Vick's dick! Then get at me... Otherwise your waisting Malcom's and Marcus's efforts & time. Ali would sock ya'll in the face! because strong black men wouldn't be out getting their jollies off on fighting puppies. That is some ghetto ignorant shit! Even his teammates are like fuck him.. because he wasn't worried about them when he was licking his own nuts like his pups. Listen to what real men have to say about his dumb ass.

BTW... wasup with that gay ass picture of Vick you got up their...
More groupie love going on here?

Anonymous said...

BTW Paul.. I believe Vick's millions $$$ align him more with the plantation owner versus the negros in the ghetto. I heard he has a banging estate in a white neighboorhood in Atl.... Not the hood. So thus I think if your supporting that elitist/arrogant brother who got paid from Arthur of Home Depot plus Nike, Coke, Kraft I think we know who is really in the house with the massa. So you right there wit em right player!

So, I think we all agree that Vick should get some form of punishment...... the severity of that punishment is what is causing outrage. Vick has himself to blame, yes indeed the punishment may be too severe, but he should not have risked his career to indulge in dog fighting. He of all people should have known that he would not be treated fairly by the lopsided justice system.
Vick stting in his mansion in the all white community probably lost touch with that reality.

Casper, "Paul do you drive 20mph miles over the speed limit every where you go each day?"

Actually I do. You'll get ran off the road going 55 in Atlanta.

Casper, "This is what Vick thinks of you P!"

Ha ha...that was funny. I was actually at that game and it makes me sick how fair weather the fans of any Atlanta team are. One bad play, one bad game and you're getting booed. I guess that's what happens when most of the city has migrated here.

Vick broke the crooked law. Ok. You think it's right that he's forced to make a deal because he's facing some bullshit RICO charges (SERIOUS TIME)? You think it's cool that he's possibly going to be banned for life from the NFL while Mary Winkler (killed Pastor husband, who was a human) is set free after two months because she suffered "post-traumatic stress disorder"? What about "post-traumatic-projects fucked-up-child-hood-in-poverty stress disorder?

PD

Simple dude.. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. No different from when your mom told you if you break that window I am going to whip your ass. You knew what was going to happen if you broke that window. Thus from there you made the decision. It's after the fact that you wish to argue what Vick's punishment should be. But it was well known before he got started PD. So just because it's Vick we should now change the law? I wish I could get that deal in the past. Let's see how well that method works when raising your kids.

Casper,

Can't you just be happy they are going to lynch the brotha?

Why do you have to run and fetch the rope.

Damn homes, you seem ... happy ... to see the man go to jail.

They're going to put this cat in a cage, and you doing cartwheels.

Self-hatred must be a bitch.

You forget I have been in the pokie... Never want to go back. If I was Vick's boy I would have talked him out of it!. But some people think they know it all and/or are above the law no matter how unbalanced the punishment may be. Please DV stop the character smear. Contrary to your statements I am not happy with the brother's situation. I am sad for him that he wasn't stong enough to resist and his so called friend's let him down. Expensive lesson learned DV. I hope you learned a thing or two as well. No matter how successful you think fiddy and his boys are. It can all come crashing down...
