BOMBS OVER TEHRAN

The way things are going, it isn't a question of if, but when, the U.S. will attack Iran. When that dreaded day finally dawns, will Antiwar.com be around to document the lies and debunk the official "spin"?

With Dick Cheney lobbying the president for a military strike sooner rather than later, and a growing chorus in the Pentagon and the media blaming Iran for our failure in Iraq, the prospect of war looms large – and the need for Antiwar.com has never been greater.

The War Party is playing the same game they played in the run-up to invading Iraq. All they need is the right pretext, and it's bombs away. Their answer to rising antiwar sentiment is to up the ante and raise the decibel level of their rhetoric: a prominent neoconservative columnist recently came out with an article openly hoping for another 9/11-style terrorist attack – because it would "unify" us and whip up another round of war hysteria.

We are living in dangerous times. In spite of increased opposition to our foreign policy of relentless aggression, the present administration seems intent on provoking yet another conflict in the most volatile region of the world. The pro-war dead-enders won't be satisfied until U.S. troops are fighting in Iran.

Our only hope of pulling the plug on their scheme is to alert and educate the American people – so that when the administration lays out its case for taking on Iran, they won't be able to get away with it like they did last time. That's what Antiwar.com is all about: when the War Party comes out with its new crop of lies, we'll be here harvesting the truth.

There's just one catch: We can't do it without your support. We can't bring our message of peace and reason to America and the world without your tax-deductible donation. We don't have the resources available to the government, the pro-war think-tanks, and the corporate media: we just have you. Don't just sit there – help us counter the War Party's influence and help prevent another war. Make your donation today (or send to Antiwar.com, 1017 El Camino Real #306, Redwood City, CA 94063).

This is just another scam to make money.
Our economy runs on war, and it is war that has pushed us forward since 1948 when corporations captured our so called 'democracy'.
Is it obvious that the dems and repubs are the same party controlled by special interest groups ?
The brainwashing is so deep, that no, it is not. We are living in a fantasy land. Bread and circus`s.
System change is the ONLY hope.
This system WILL destroy itself.
It does not have to be that way.
