this actually reminds me of the time when rapping was about having fun with the beat and rhymes.
i don't like the song though. The beat is too west coast for my personal taste because it clashes with his voice and his rhymes. whoever produced it should have given it to Game?

I'm not sure what you mean about east coast/west coast is over because although is definitely dominating the airwaves right now, artists from NY, Philly and Cali are still putting out music that has a distinct sound for their respecive coasts/regions. about the beat, i mean west coast as in it has a very west coast sound to it, like a throwback DJ Quick song or something.

Okay, i put my finger on it. IMO the funky bassline and the timing of the clap make me think of Mack 10, Ice Cube, Dub C not Rich Boy. That's just me.

However, the West Coast is really just an extension of the South. Damn near every black person in CA can trace their people back to Texas, Louisiana or Arkansas.
