Hip Hop Is Dead!
All they talk about is terrorism on television
They tell you to listen, but they don't really tell you they mission
They funded Al-Qaeda, and now they blame the Muslim religion
Even though Bin Laden, was a CIA tactician
They gave him billions of dollars, and they funded his purpose
Fahrenheit 9/11, that's just scratchin' the surface
Bin Laden didn't blow up the projects ...
Bush knocked down the towers ...

Hip hop isn't dead, its underground. Dig thru the crates, do some research to find artists that respect music as an art form (like Little Brother, Lupe Fiasco, Mykestro) and stop waiting for Hot __ FM or BET to play it and u won't be so dissappointed.
What ppl are really saying is mainsteam rap has created the illusion that Hip Hop is a hustle instead of an art form with a voice.
The redundancy issue is relevant to all genres. I encourage you to watch the doc "Before the music dies".
Anonymous,
Don't get me wrong. I am not among the legions of reactionaries parroting the mainstream media mantra that wishes us to believe "Hip Hop is dead."
Actually I think broad categorical generalizations about the genre are the product of intellectual laziness.
I see valuable artistic expression from The Roots to Lil Wayne, from Mykestro to 50 Cent.
Anonymous, I like your style. You need a nickname.
