Hey, thanks for the quick cartoon you made! I appreciate it. But, make one with Ron Paul showing who his backers are and put his son up there saying he would've been against Civil Rights for Black folk.

Let's forget about who he stands with and what he thinks about Black folks. Let's not vote our own self interest let's vote on getting rid of the Fed, backing Isreal, Wall St and Corporations because those problems are bigger than the problems effecting Black folks right? SMH

uh ...

yeah.

actually.

These are actually the BIGGEST problem facing Black folks.

Explain to me how fixing any of that changes the current state of Black folks in America. I mean real things not theory! Will any of those improve education, health, poverty, drugs?

All of this Ron Paul crap is a political soap opera by intelligent folk. You know damn well our race as a whole will not move one space off of the election of this bigot. So the white guy to the rescue because Black folks don't know what's best for them overall. You are this bigots champion!

Maybe you're talking policy and theory and I'm asking for something concrete.

I hate to say this, anonymous, but you sound like a troll. Both Big Machine political parties and the intelligence communities do hire trolls to clog up blogs with propaganda. You could definitely get a job in that field if you wanted it.

You're tossing out irrational straw man arguments. You assume he's a bigot. This is recycled controversy--they used this same story four years ago to try to discredit the man and there really wasn't anything there. Now, they are rehashing it again. Even if the words in those newsletters were seen, approved or even written by Ron Paul is irrelevant. There is what a man says and then there's what a man does. Barack says he cares about the people but sends drones to murder women and children. He says he's a Constitutional scholar who would uphold the rule of law and then draws to himself more dictatorial powers than G.W. Bush ever had the balls to try and grab, not to mention signing laws that further eviscerate the Bill of Rights--you don't think that effects Black people. He says the Occupy Wall Street people and the middle class are right to be mad at what the banks did to them, then he conveniently leaves the country in time for the police crackdown and, when he comes back, has s*** to say about the matter. Not to mention that he approved the TARP bailouts and put a former Federal Reserve chairman in charge as Secretary of the Treasury as soon as he took office. You don't think devaluing the currency so that your money buys less, while your wages stagnate, and your houses are foreclosed on--you don't think these are "Black folk" issues? They certainly seem to be issues affecting everyone else in the country. Seems beyond ridiculous to believe that the above matters are LESS important than whether someone has ever written, read or endorsed off-color jokes.

Give me someone who "doesn't like me" but protects my rights and my money ANY DAY over some smiling charmer who says he cares about my well-being then aids and abets the people robbing me while arming and encouraging the police to make me a suspect in my own house.

@cadevo - For the life of me I never understand why a Intelligent person would say they hate to say this but then go ahead and say it. Be an adult you wanted to say it and I'll be a Man and take it. It's alright it's just a discussion we aren't on the street.

All of you Suckers hate Obama because you were looking for Jesus. You really thought you could control Obama and he would do what you would do. Then you woke up and realized you've been conned and the girl you picked up was a prostitute.

"Even if the words in those newsletters were seen, approved or even written by Ron Paul is irrelevant." Whuh? So if a person says he hates your whole race and then says but I can dig you a well you go slepping over and say than you Master! By far that is the dumbest statement my old eyes have ever seen.

All you professional Blacks make the mistake of thinking the average Brother is worried about the damn Fed. So you stand up tall and go and join fights with other folks so your wannabe counted ignorant follower ass can say at least you did something. You didn't do anything to help the Black race besides take pictures with the peasants outside of the Kings castle. You wannabe righteous idiots and your symbolism never do anything concrete. Next time why don't you dress up like a Man so at least someone will be scared but since you want to use symbolism you look like a teenage actor.

It's just my opinion but since I don't agree I guess I'm a double agent. I don't say I'll accept any white man who hates me but has my best interest in mind?>@?@??! What kind of logic is that? Stop trying to infiltrate the system and somehow change people, instead build something of your own and you could care less what the devil does?

If you had your own business, owned your house, owned your whole life all this political shit wouldn't make a dent on you. So instead your wannabe HNIC ass gets up and tells everyone on the plantation to follow the white guy who hates you cuz he sho gon take us to the promise land!

I laugh at the whole idea of DV calling people plantation negroes because I stood up and did for myself a long time ago. I don't wake up and go to work trying to get a better place in the plantation aka in hell. So think before you speak, NO, don't speak at all because you don't think. You just see some white bitch you hope will treat you better than the one who left you butt-naked in the hotel. TRICK!

Anonymous,

What has Obama "done" for "Black people" (as if Black people are one monolithic block?). What is better for Blacks today than before Obama took the helm?

Apparently, Ron Paul is offensive because he may or may not have said things about "Black people", but Obama has said far more "racist" stuff about "Black" men. Deadbeat dads, who aren't real fathers, but need to learn to be, etc., etc. Indeed, he campaigned on the alleged deficiencies and delinquincies of "Black" men. And his actions since coming to office only confirm that Obama's bigotry for Blacks is as bad as if not worse than Ron Paul.

It seems that form matters much more than substance for you. As long as Obama is black, then the issue is done. Which is fine, but let's not pretend that your support of him has anything to do with principles or alleged love for "Black people".

@Anonymous1

I love how you've decided to psychoanalyze me and my position when you don't know me. Again, you've created another straw man argument. In this instance, you create a fantasy version of me who thought "Obama was going to be Jesus" and is now just reacting out anger and resentment because I couldn't "control him." Please. I never supported the man. I never voted for the man. He was always suspect to me because beyond the PR and marketing campaign, I saw no real substance, though I did take note of who his primary campaign contributors were--the banks, who gave far more money to Mr. Hopey-Changey than to his erstwhile competitor, McCain. I also noticed what appointments he made when he came in and took note of the background of those appointees, their past positions, etc. So, no...I'm not sour-graping. But please continue to argue against imaginary versions of those who disagree with you.

Bait and switch argument: go back and test your reading skills. A man who may or may not have approved some off-color jokes is not equivalent to someone who hates Black people. That's quite a leap. It's your fantasy of what I'm saying, not what I'm actually saying.

And no, it isn't a matter of if a person says he hates my whole race (show me where Ron Paul has said he hates all Black people)but then says he can dig me a well, I'd go running over to worship him. You seem to be stuck on what people SAY as being the most important thing. Not my argument at all. My argument is that what a person DOES is the most important thing. When has Ron Paul voted to continue or even fund measures of the so-called Drug War, which overwhelmingly institutionalizes "slavery by another name" within corporate-run prisons? It's never happened. But Obama has sure been for it. When has Paul voted to fund or support the bombing of brown and black people overseas? Never happened, but Obama has sure been for it, but I guess the fact that he SAID he was "saving lives" and being "humanitarian" that wipes out the reality of his actions. When did Ron Paul vote to bail out corrupt, manipulative banking conglomerates who conned people and now are foreclosing on them left and right, including in cases where the person purchased the house outright with cash and never even had a mortgage with said bank? Never happened. But Obama was all for it. Actions. Words are very, very secondary.

Never said you were a double agent. What I DID say is that you could make a good living spamming blogs with pro-Establishment propaganda, since that seems to be what you spout (to my ears anyway) and since the DNC, GOP and other interested parties already pay folks to do it. What's wrong with suggesting you look to get paid at what you're naturally good at?

I'd like to see you rebut Dina's argument without creating a fake Dina in your head that you can manhandle verbally without having to actually conjure up a grounded argument.

For all my people who want to back the bigot who don't know the truth here's your White Daddy's statements.

A December 1989 newsletter quoted by James Kirchick in the New Republic predicted "Racial Violence Will Fill Our Cities" because "mostly black welfare recipients will feel justified in stealing from mostly white 'haves.' "

Another letter said "I think we can assume that 95 percent of the black men in that city [Washington] are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

An August 1992 edition of the Ron Paul Report labeled former Rep. Barbara Jordan (D) of Texas "the archetypal half-educated victimologist," according to the Houston Chronicle.

Now if we took those statements and removed them from your White Daddy's presidential run I doubt if any of you would be on this man's side and advocate that he's a good white! Enjoy!

@Dina - Obama's healthcare law will help a lot of uninsured Black folks in this country. Now you may not be in that party but nonetheless it helps.

I never said Black folks are monolithic but I do know I'm part of that group. My education and money haven't separated me from my kind but maybe your's has.

What's better today for Blacks than yesterday under Obama. You have something to argue about because he opened the flood gates for all you crab in the barrel Blacks who think you are just as smart as him to voice your opinion. He opened the gates for all of you scary didn't have much to say under whitey Bush to come out now and act like you were always this politically involved.

Now I might agree that Obama used some select phrases to point out some of our problems in our communities but those aren't racist. How is it humanly possible to be racist against your own kind? Explain that to me?

Like I said in another response I know a lot of you were looking for Jesus. He let you down since he's not a White Viking with blond hair and blue eyes. So now you are campaigning for someone who might just fit the bill. So when I bring up he's a bigot all you broken hearted Black professionals want to show how Obama is not better or maybe even worse than your new white daddy!

Anonymous said...

@Cadevo - Did you like the way I answered Dina or did I make up something fake about her too?

Let's answer your questions. I don't care about Ron Pauls voting record when it comes to voting on drug policies aka new slavery as you call it. If he did or didn't is immaterial because he has no power of such things. When you open your mouth right now and tell people what disgusts you it doesn't do shit either because you are even more powerless.

Who cares if Ron Paul did or didn't vote on the bombing of Black & Brown people. He's never in position to pull the trigger.

So you're whole argument for supporting the bigot is he didn't vote on certain things. Are you 5? So your thinking is he didn't vote for it so he must be a good guy. If you don't see me rob banks but people say I did; you're going to come back and say but you have no proof! Again are you 5 years old?

Obama voted on foreclosures and kicking people out of their houses and backed up the banks? Again you powerless fool you should do more research on what entities really control things. Obama's policies are pretty much what any White guy would've had to do too.

So now you have Superman Whitey Ron Paul who says I wouldn't do any of that vote for me. Your 5 year old mentality says let's give him a chance because he says he didn't do it and he won't do it. Then everyone gets their carton of milk and animal crackers and sits on the numbered squares.

I make a living doing a lot of things because I am naturally talented. I've been profitable since I was a teenager by my own grit, grind and hustle. You just want to invalidate my opinion by making the case that maybe just maybe I'm getting paid to come over to DV's spot and cause some confusion. Bitch please! What happened is you walked into a fight and got knocked the f out. Now you want to say maybe just maybe he's hear to cause confusion.

I didn't come over to DV's spot to start a debate. I actually have contributed to DV's spot in the past as I tend to enjoy reading the angles he takes. But, when you followers come out to attack when I'm merely breaking bread with my Brother over his opinion I got to show you that you just aren't ready. You have no original thought and everything you argue over is trivial and said by someone who is 10x smarter than you. I heard it all before. It's just that you idiots come out and champion it and then sit in the front of the class with your gold star on your head feeling yourself.

...

"Help" them what?

"Help" them how?

Will this so-called "healthcare" help Black people improve their health?

Or will it simply give them "insurance" to buy prescription drugs?

"Obama's Healthcare" is a trick.

It is a trap.

The government does not have the power to make you healthy.

It only has the power to tax you and feed you drugs.

Anonymous,

Black folks are on the edge of extinction.

The time for that old shallow simple minded negro thinking is over.

We need sharp forward thinking black people who have enough heart and courage to step outside the comfort zone of old negro thinking.

Why don't you take some time and check out the blog. Browse through the archives. Get a feel for the angles we approach these problems before you start protesting and throwing up your arms in frustration because you don't get it.

I read your blog a whole hell of a lot even the parts where you talk about alternative treatments. So I read and pay attention DV.

But, you provide no plan for these 41 million+ Black folks in the USA. Besides telling me it's a trap what else do you propose. How do we structurally get this done? I can scream all day too warning folk but if I don't offer anything to replace it with why would they choose the nothing they don't know for the something they know?

I don't throw up my arms in frustration brotha at all. This debate over the Paul bigots has spiraled into many a tangent. I don't profess to know it all but I do know all these deep thoughts that never turn into anything tangible are as worthless as what the ignorant propose on a comedy skit.

Old Shallow Simple Minded Negro thinking is not over by a long shot. Is anyone here working on a real plan? Has anyone here taken concrete steps to funding it? Did you take a sample of population to prove anything you put forth? Or are you defending something you think or hope will work.

I don't usually get too deep into these conversations because I know all we got left in our race is a bunch of thinkers. No one wants to get their hands dirty. No one wants to actually work on building this future. No one has wrote a book, a pamphlet or even a damn nursery rhyme telling our people how to be prosperous. Instead I have to fight my way through people with good ideas!

Like I said before I'm not against any brother putting forth his opinion. But, let's not get mixed up the difference between opinion and solution. All this blog is until someone actually does something is opinion, a spirited debate and a feel good moment for people who love to debate. But, until we do something we are all powerless talkers.

I have a solution that I am publishing soon. It's not to cure Aids, stop the fed, or back out of Isreal. But, it's teaching our folk the way to financial independence with their current station in life. It teaches them how to not depend on other folks for their livelihood and how to take control of at least that. I'm sorry I haven't worked on the fed or isreal as that's not what I see as the most pressing of needs for my people.

1) Get A Chick.

2) Marry Her.

3) Raise a son.

Everything else is talk.

And, I like that simple plan. So let's work on the next level past basic reproduction with a easy simple plan.

I'm on board with that.

Anonymous,

Funny enough, I didn't fall for Obama's bullshit the first time around and, this time around, it perplexes me how anyone can take that man seriously.

How can a Black person be racist against Blacks? I'll go out on a limb and suggest that an illegitimate mulatto with severe daddy issues might not share an affinity with or have a great affection for those with his long-gone daddy's skin color.

Which perhaps explains why, among the first things the good half-breed did when he came to power was to make avowed eugenicists resposibile for policies on "health" and population. Obama's "czars" (i.e. Kazar or Caesar) whose policies will affect Black people on a day-to-day basis are a who's who list of devout eugenicists who want nothing more than to eradicate Black people. In case you haven't checked out John Holdren or Cass Sunstein, I suggest you have a looksee.

Having been raised in Indonesia and Hawaii in a White family, the only thing that makes this guy remotely "Black" is your Jesus fantasy about the first Black president.
