Q. What do Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli and Barack Obama have in common?

A. They all made careers out of pretending to be something that they're not.

Brother DV:

I disagree with you violently.

YOU keep on focusing on BARACK OBAMA!!!

I keep on focusing on the INSTITUTIONS WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY who's job it was to PROTECT our "Black Community Consciousness" from threats external and INTERNAL alike.

These institutions have become contaminated and a house (Negro) cleaning is required.

Just think DV - (As A Black Conservator) I have been noting the 'Smiley-West Fortress' which held the 'State Of The Black Union" gathering each year on C-SPAN. In as much as it was an echo chamber as they discussed "What we NEED to do" while carefully avoiding any sort of accountability for the control of our community that they have had for decades................it took the OBAMA JUGGERNAUGHT to come along and slice this collection of Progressive-Fundamentalists in half - forcing them to pick sides:

1) Define a set of transparent (but progressive) measures to hold the President to

2) Fold the "Black Community Activism Movement" totally in with the Obama Movement and have Black people ride on this vehicle

You have to give Obama credit for EXPOSING these operatives who CLAIM to be "Black Leaders" that focus on our community's best interests.

When a new stallion came along - they dropped all pretenses and show the truth: THERE IS NO LONGER AN "ORGANIC BLACK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MOVEMENT".

Preemptive strike bro: I know you don't like notions of 'collectivist movements'. This is not what I am saying.

I am arguning that INDEED there is a need for a "corporate movement" where interested parties within our (physical) communities align our resources as a means of producing directed outcomes via those who CHOOSE to participate and thus are allowed to sup on the proceeds.

We now see that these establishment figures are frauds

NOW we need to get Black folks to converge around forces that in fact do have our organic community uplift interests in mind.

#1 You aint "Anonymous"

#2 You drop in all the time. Where else you going to go? If there is a blacker spot on the internet, drop a link.

#3 Who said he aint the Son of God?

I will believe they made Barack Obama when they make another Barack Obama.

Who else could have done what he did?

God's sons get tempted too.

#1 What institutions exist in the "BLACK COMMUNITY"?

#2 There is no such thing as the "BLACK COMMUNITY". Black people have not communed since segregation.

#3 External threats? Internal threats? External of what? Internal of what?

There is no president. What you are witnessing is a reality TV show in the politics genre.

There is no such thing as a "Black Leader".

Leaders lead.

Black people are passengers on the Titanic.

The boat is not "being led".

The boat is sinking.

Good.

We don't need an "ORGANIC BLACK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MOVEMENT".

We need 1 million brothas.
To marry 1 million sistas.
And raise 2 million children.

Everything else is talk.

Actually that is exactly what you said.

Peep this DV. This hit me hard.

This past weekend I attended what amounts to a "Community Family Reunion" as the church in the small town in the Carolinas where my family grew up has their "Friends and Family Day". It was eye opening to see all of the adults that raised me when I was a kid had canes, walkers and some had a sagging half of their face due to a stroke.

On departure yesterday I stopped by the family cemetery before I left town.

I saw 3 headstones that had the vitals on the dearly departed husbands (uncles or second cousins) that had passed AND the name of their wives - WHO ARE STILL ALIVE and whom I had spoken to over the few days that I was in town.

It was deep to see that the marital bond had the spouse knowing where she (or he) would be laid to rest some day. (her earthly body - not her everlasting spirit).

My mom explained to me why her one cousin looked exactly like her other cousin though they were from different "families". It appears that the young Stud father of that they had in common - Got Around. She mentioned how many "problems" it causes between young people when the "love child" does not receive the full familial embrace as the kids that the brother man had with his formal wife. I credit them in that in this small town they grew their own crops and had their own animals to keep themselves going and everyone fed - regardless of their relations.

As we debate the function of marriage in our community WHILE SOME NEGROES get CONFUSED by attempts to REDEFINE traditional marriage in today's world where RIGHTS trump CULTURAL FUNCTIONALITY - the days of seeing these type of "reservations" and the ORDER that it denotes will be OVER - in just a few more short generations ahead of us.

We have indeed lost our CONSCIOUSNESS and thus our WAY.
#1 What institutions exist in the "BLACK COMMUNITY"?
Come on bro.
Churches
Fraternal organizations
Sporting associations
Civic Groups
Activist Organizations
Professional Associations
#2 There is no such thing as the "BLACK COMMUNITY". Black people have not communed since segregation.
The "Black Community" is a virtual and conscious phenomenon.
It has as much INTEGRITY as those who agree to UPHOLD a set of high standards promote it to be.

#3 External threats? Internal threats? External of what? Internal of what
There are "External & Internal Threats" who's AWARENESS serves as a UNIFYING FORCE for those who seek to keep the Negro in a RACIALLY DEFENSIVE POSITION.

There are "External & Internal Threats that are LEGITIMATE which we would be wise to pay attention to:

* EXTERNAL THREATS -
Those who seek to deny Black people our organic rights as humans

* INTERNAL THREATS - the Embedded Confidence Men who KNOW BLACK PEOPLE because they are Black and they USE this knowledge to keep us on the defensive - thus allowing themselves to obtain more POWER but later use the same technique to avoid accountability for their power which failed to lift up our people.

The UNIVERSAL enemy of Black people are:

* Ignorance
* Hatred
* Those who witness the #1 and #2 and yet stand complicitly by as they don't "want some" for themselves.
