Get A Dude • An Introduction To Race, Sex and Excuses • Professor Emeritus Ugly Black John • DV University • Spring 2011

In my experience, fine Black women don't care but women with other problems seem to care too much about race.

Meaghan, Halle, Iman, ... - all could pretty much pick and choose.  Mo'Nique, Nene, ... have to fixate on race as their excuse.

*I just had a meeting with my liquor reps before a club opened.  Both were nice looking and white. As car loads of single Black women waiting outside noticed that I walked two white girls to their cars and gave them hugs, screams were heard.

Yeah, I got the side eye from each woman as she entered the club.
But their real problem wasn't that I thanked my white liquor reps for hooking me up.  Their problem was that they lacked game so badly that they had to arrive at a club before it opened without a partner.

We all know its not only ugly chicks who have issue with black man/white woman.

Further, is it possible that those feelings are not ALL based on insecurity and that some of the offended sistas find other reasons to suck their teeth?

Also, I've actually never heard a black woman, angry at a white-girl-dating brotha, use it as an excuse as to their singleness (you watchin too much Waiting to Exhale).

Last, quiet as its kept, Nene and Monique can pick and choose, too...they just don't.

wow.
so, you also think that nene and monique are are "ugly"?
really?
ok...if u say so.

Nah...I don't...I was a little lax in my wording, I guess....the original post said they were ugly when those ladies were juxtaposed against "fine black women"...and I was responding to that. Thanks, you're right, "ugly" was the wrong word.

Ugly?

Don't think that's what UBJ was referring to ... he said ... "no game".

Does Nene have the kind of "game" that can pull a man?

I don't know a brother in the world ... sitting around WANTING to get with no Nene.

Not because she is "ugly" ... but because she acts ghetto ignorant and belligerent on TV.

The Plantation media has promoted that particular stereotype of black women to the extent ... I believe ... many people, including some black women... confuse that type of behavior with 'blackness' itself.

Eventually life starts imitating art.

Monique... has about as much appeal as Roseanne Barr.

I'm a fan of the sister.

But that celebration of obesity aint something I can sit around and pretend is cute.

"Further, is it possible that those feelings are not ALL based on insecurity and that some of the offended sistas find other reasons to suck their teeth?" JH

Like what other reasons to suck their teeth?

Not saying they don't exist.

I'm just not hip to it.

Can't imagine sucking my teeth at a sister for being with a white cat.

You may need to talk to a few more single sisters.

They may not use it as an excuse ... but the "all the good black men go with white women" meme is alive and kicking.

What's happening Sister Nurse?

When I posted UBJ's commentary ... the first thing that crossed my mind was 'what is TGN's take on this?"

Black women who complain about brothas with white women also complain about other things, like not enough sugar in the Kool-Aid, light-skinned people being "favored," and the re-run lineup on "The C.W." In other words, they complain about ALL ghetto topics, and that's precisely why no man can listen to it for more than one or two nights.

Personally, I have no problem with brothas that date white women AS LONG AS SHE'S HOT. However, most of my friends that have married white chicks have picked a bottom feeder, which I cannot understand for the life of me.

Dude didn't say "people with game" vs. "people with no game"...he said "fine black women" vs. "Monique"....but I digress....

Re: complaints about black men dating white girls...Honestly, 9 of the 10 times I've heard that, it has been on some tv show, by some writer who constructs some lame scene, depicting feelings that they ascribe to black women (i.e., the "bitching" and complaining about "losing our men" to white girls)...When I do hear it in real life, outside of media stereotype, its usually just to clown some cornball celebrity with no game that they wouldn't want anyway.
It’s not, "white girl took my man and that's why I'm single"....its more like "well, look at his woman, I knew he was a corny ass nucka".

I've heard a lot more unrealistic expectations about “thug with feelings”...or "they don't want to settle down" as excuses for singleness....but very rarely, "Hey, that white girl stole my man!".

The media loves the image of an angry black woman...it sells…and it gets played over and over….shit, T. Perry even titled his movie to tell us that!
As you said, sometimes (perceptions of) life imitates art.

JH I knew two bi-racial sistas that took issue with that. I'm thinking, "Your moma white." One was part Filipino, don't know if she counts. (side note: I felt what Mahogany said on a previous thread about "over compensating." That is REAL LIFE)

But I'm perplexed with the sistas that got gay best-friends (minus two black men) while looking at these brothas with white women like they sidewinders.

This so true..."The Plantation media has promoted that particular stereotype of black women to the extent ... I believe ... many people, including some black women... confuse that type of behavior with 'blackness' itself".

Let's face this fact. Nene is not attractive, she has made herself like that, masculine, hard, and loud. What happened to being a lady, feminine? I am sick and tire of the "no man in my life having to raise my kid; and the black women had to be strong because of what was done to our men in salvery stories. What century are we living in now? Excuses, excuses. It is about time that people own up on their stupidity. Why would a real man want that?
A lot of black women think if they come across strong and loud they will be heard. Really, you've being heard loud and clear! The american culture thinks this his how black women are, sadly this must be fought hard against with the media; especially, the strong impact of reality tv on the culture. First it was certain forms of Hip Hop, now it is reality/fake tv that is destroying people.
Keep bringing the truth to light Dv.
