The "Revolution" In Libya Is A Propaganda Stunt Crafted In Washington • Advanced Neocolonialism & The Hegelian Head Fake 003 • DV University Spring 2011

  • Before the chaos erupted, Libya had a lower incarceration rate than the Czech republic. It ranked 61st.
  • Libya had the lowest infant mortality rate of all of Africa.
  • Libya had the highest life expectancy of all of Africa.
  • Less than 5% of the population was undernourished.
  • In response to the rising food prices around the world, the government of Libya abolished ALL taxes on food.
  • People in Libya were rich.
  • Libya had the highest gross domestic product (GDP) at purchasing power parity (PPP) per capita of all of Africa.
  • The government took care to ensure that everyone in the country shared in the wealth. Libya had the highest Human Development Index of any country on the continent. The wealth was distributed equally. In Libya, a lower percentage of people lived below the poverty line than in the Netherlands.
How did Libya get so rich? Oil of course. Gaddafi never allowed foreign corporations to steal the resources while the population starves, unlike resource rich nations like Nigeria, a country that is basically run by Shell.

Brother DV:

You are dangerously close to echoing the spirit of those who once said "Our Negroes are happy" during the Post-Reconstruction Era.

With all due respect, Bro - you appear to be more focused on the possible CATALYST of the uprising than you are in discussing the question of IF THE PEOPLE ON THE GROUND HAVE JUST CAUSE IN "REFUDIATING" THE GOVERNMENT and if there is credibility in them seeing the government as OPPRESSIVE.

I am forced to ask if YOU are able to link your CONSCIOUS VISION to the little man on the GROUND in Tripoli and weigh the CONTRADICTORY facts but come out with a vision of the PREVAILING threat to their interests?

Don't you think calling the uprising in Libya "a propaganda stunt crafted in Washington" is demeaning to people who have been killed? Okay, maybe you don't.

But the bullet items don't support that assertion - most of them aren't even true if you take the time to look them up. Libya does not have the highest GDP @ PPP than all of Africa - not even close. "People in Libya were rich" - yeah, the rich people.
"A lower percentage of people lived below the poverty line than in the Netherlands" Come on, doesn't that sound ridiculous even on its face? So look it up, it is ridiculous.
The government abolished ALL taxes on food (Yippee! - how many taxes were there btw? Why were they taxing food to being with?) Well, apparently the government did or said they did. After the uprisings in Tunisian and Algeria started.

The first doxistic rule of philosophers is "That which is true I will hold to be true."

...

... they were.

Shit Negros are here happy now.

Think about it -

The people in the US have more reason to throw out their government than do the people of Libya.

Plantation Negros in America today still voting "Democrat" and "Republican" and "first black such n such"... as if that antiquated ritual has anything to do with how our nation is governed.

Political fools.

Negros in America who today applaud this NeoLiberal version of invasion and occupation in Libya ... while they derided the NeoConservative version of invasion and occupation in Iraq... have poor political memories.

This is the same thing.

Saddam / Gaddafi
WMD's / Attacking his own people
supports terror / supports terror
oil / oil

Dick Cheney and George Bush have been replaced by Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton.

Come on ya'll.

Don't be scared.

The "Revolution" in Libya is a hoax orchestrated in Washington.

Remember where you heard it first.

What up P?!

lol.

"demeaning to the people killed"?

I think it is less demeaning to the people killed than it is to pretend this "uprising" is purely organic, indigenous and free of foreign orchestration or support.

Libya is floating on an ocean of oil.

How can you possibly believe the multi-national Multi-Billion $$ Intelligence Industry is not involved?

"Libya does not have the highest GDP @ PPP than all of Africa - not even close" Phx

According to the World Bank in 2009 Libya had a GDP (PPP) per capita $16,526.

Name a nation in Africa with a greater GDP (PPP) per capita

______________ ?

Libya is a nation of 5 million people and generates over $45 Billion in oil revenue.

Libya only imports 24.7 Billion per year.

Gaddafi has proposed to circumvent the government and to have the funds distributed directly to the Libyan people.

The cat aint no dictator.

He's the Arab version of Toussaint Louverture.

Hey D what up?

Here’s from the World Bank showing Libya 65th ranked in GDP (PPP), below Nigeria, Morocco, Angola, Algeria, and South Africa.

If I’m wrong about facts I use I’ll retract them.

@DV, no doubt the multi-billion $ intelligence industry is involved, but what’s the evidence that they created this? How could that even work?

Everybody will try to exploit it or do what they can to keep the blowback off their face. Who wouldn’t? Nobody’s even pretending like it’s none of their business. But how could someone intentionally create or control this uprising?

But how could the US create uprisings throughout MENA, and then be certain when the dust settled they would be in control of events? Then they not only got conspiracies going, they got some sort of extraterrestrial powers. They couldn’t do it if USA, EU, China, Russia and Israel all conspired together to make that happen. You can’t predict war or revolution.

What’s the motive here? Cheaper oil? Puppet governments? You think they saw how well that’s worked in Afg and Iraq, and that motivated them?

You’re hearing hoofbeats, thinking unicorns.

Organic explanations work better. These are young people and they want their rights (you would too). Libya has over 21% unemployment (fat lot of good all that oil revenue did for them!). They were promised economic reform and it never came. Plus it’s open season on autocrats.
