I don't fall for the Cornel West okey doke. He was for Hillary and was HATIN' on Barack from jump, not because Barack was "corporate," but because he was not Hillary. West also has written articles and books praising Israel. It's hard for me to listen to a black Ivy League professor criticize a black politician for protecting the establishment. West has made a nice living from the same people Barack has.

OK.

You don't like "Who" Cornell West is.

Cool.

What do you think about the "issues" he raises concerning the Obama Presidency?

1) Has Obama developed the bad habit of 'neutralizing white fears' while capitalizing on black solidarity"?

2) Has Obama "appointed an economic team that virtually gifted 759 Billion to banks ... when $50 Billion could have eliminated poverty in major areas of the US"?

3) Is Obama executing "Technocratic policy and not Democratic policy"?

4) 34% unemployment for black men between 16 and 24 ... but Obama is rubber-stamping the spending of billions making contractors rich in Afghanistan

Who other than Cornell West has the heart, and the intellectual courage to even address these issues?

90% of Plantation Negros have been suckered into simply choosing sides in the Dumbed Down Democratic vs. Republican reality TV Show they confuse for actual politics.

You know the types ...

"They should leave Obama alone! Give him a chance! Look at all that shit Bush fucked up! They make me sick fucking with Obama! Well .... I aint gonna say nuttin' about duh brova. I'm jusss happy deh got uh bwak man in da white houze!"

Saying Obama is beholden to banks is like saying water is wet. He's the president of the U.S. - of course he's a banker puppet. What I didn't like is all this "black unemployment" stuff. Niggas need to get their hustle on, rather than sit around and complain about statistics. Everythang else is just statistics.

"Niggas need to get their hustle on" IWW

To say "Niggas need to get their hustle on" is like saying people on the Titanic need to find jobs.

President Obama is President of a ship that has hit an iceberg and is sinking.

He is spending money fixing other ships.

To say "other presidents did the same thing" ... doesn't keep up from drowning.

[The president and fellow Democrats have taken a page from the Republican playbook. They’re unabashedly using racial-solidarity politics to animate voters. In this case, the Democrats’ appeal is to black voters, the most unwavering portion of President Obama’s base, and the message is simple: The president is under attack, and black voters must mobilize to protect him.]-- Charles Blow

The all but forgotten are suddenly remembered. Black voters are needed to save the Democrats, just like a pimp needs his bottom ho when his other tricks slack off.

“I don’t think people fully understand what’s at stake here. We had 10 years of policies that did not help the African-American community, did not help the American economy and led to this disaster.Nobody’s been more damaged than the African-American community by that. We’ve got to make sure that we turn out to vote.” -- Barack Obama

Uh, Brer Prez, you say 10 years. Is that 2 years of Clinton and 8 years of Bush, or 8 years of Bush and nearly 2 years of yo’self? That damage the POTUS refers to includes depression-era levels of unemployment; a massive loss of wealth through foreclosures resulting from the sub-prime crises and the deliberate economic shock of 9/15; a 47 percent high school graduation rate for African American males, and the mass incarceration of non-violent Black offenders.

As Nathan Glazer points out these issues are not even being discussed by Obama:

"Not one issue having to do with American blacks was on the explicit agenda of either major political party during the 2008 campaign or on the agenda of the Obama Administration during the first year of his presidency.”

[As the president told an audience last week at Bowie State University, a historically black college, in Maryland: “I think the pundits are wrong. But it’s up to you to prove them wrong. Don’t make me look bad, now.”]-- Blow

Meaning if the POTUS can’t deliver us for his special interest groups, he looks bad and we suffer. And if we deliver and make him look good, we’ll be forgotten again, until 2012.
