A crowd of people hoping to get federal housing assistance became unruly Wednesday morning with reports of fights breaking out in the crowd.
Thousands of people were lined up at the Tri-Cities Plaza shopping center, hoping to apply for a voucher from the East Point Housing Authority that will give them a discount on their rent.

Felecia McGhee told the AJC she arrived around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. She said the major problem began when people started breaking into the line and officials started moving the areas where they were handing out applications. She said she saw at least two small children trampled when the crowd rushed the building where the applications were to be handed out.
"It's a real mess out here," she said.

LOL... DV I passed this crowd of people as I rode MARTA on the way to the plantation gig. Unfortuantely, the news does not show how many of Yacub's grafted folk are in the crowd.
Ahhhhh ... interesting take E.
Didn't think about that.
Plantation media fooled me too.
Snap a flick next time. Let's fight fire with fire.
Since when is that even a part of the process for Section 8? That looks like an American Idol Audition. Sometimes I swear things like this are organized just to make poor people look like animals. I used to work for a Housing Authority and they never had a cattle call for vouchers. They should be calling people off of a waiting list that already exists.
DV:
I wuz there filming it all.
It made an impression upon me as critical as 'The Million Man March" but with a NEGATIVE imprint.
Last in the day I could not drive past a "hair weave" billboard, check cashing joint or one of the plentiful hot wing places without saying "WE NEED TO CHANGE AS A PEOPLE"!!!!
Desperation was abundant.
