It's Negro MD's Like This Why Your Daddy Has Diabetes, Your Momma Breast Cancer, Uncle Prostate, And Your Niece Is Autistic

I know your intention isn't really to debate or understand how someone may get (or maybe avoid) cancer of any type. Which is too bad, since there are people here who may actually understand and pass this information along rather than perpetuate the same old wives tales.

D.Smitth I answered your question on the other thread. But to reiterate, you gave me a link about total costs, which include in hospital, out of hospital, and loss of productive work time....this doesn't mean $147 billion went to physicians and hospitals. Many physicians LOSE money treating frequent flyer patients with chronic diseases.

I don't understand why you ask what happened to prevention when THIS very site promotes not listening to treatment options, not getting vaccinations, or health screenings like prostate examination. How do you think you can prevent something when clowns like our host are screaming nonsense into the ears of those who need said Prevention?

Despite what you all think, its not just diet...and an overly expensive extreme diet is definitely not not needed. These tend to not be sustainable on small or large scale for a long time. [natural, unrefined food is "unsustainable"]

1) Any physician treating "FREQUENT FLYER "PATIENTS" .. with "CHRONIC DISEASES" Is by definition a FAILED PHYSICIAN.

You call yourselves "doctors". But you HEAL NO ONE.

2) You get paid to treat sickness. You need sickness to make money. Money dictates your entire profession. Stop pretending to be holier than thou Marcus Hippocrates Welby.

Not science. Not health. Not human beings. Corporate greed is the order of the day. You don't get paid without cancer. The prevention of cancer puts you out of business. Thus "prevention" is anathema.

"THIS very site promotes not listening to treatment options, " DMG

3) This site promotes calling bullshit ... bullshit.

Chemotherapy aint no fuggin "option" Doc. Mastectomy is not an "option". That's just a cute word for post-failure.

Adequate doses of high quality Vitamin D in the form of sunshine IS AN OPTION THAT COULD VERY WELL PREVENT BREAST CANCER WITH WHICH TO BEGIN. Read your own Plantation Studies "Doc". I told you about Vitamin D months ago. You scoffed at it. Now your bosses are acknowledging the NATURAL PREVENTIVE OPTION for breast cancer is Vitamin D in the form of sunshine. Denmark Vesey is school.

"not getting vaccinations," DMG

4) How do you know the vaccinations are not why you Plantation MDs have so many millions OF FREQUENT FLYER PATIENTS WITH "CHRONIC DISEASES in the first place?

The government within the past month just recalled Tylenol, Motrin, Benadryl, and Injectable Ibuprofen. Drug companies make mistakes all the time. Dangerous neurotoxins have been found in vaccines.

How can you assure your patients, your family, your friends and the people here who read your Plantation Negro words ... that the vaccines (branded corporate pharmaceutical products designed to make a profit) you doctors inject into their beautiful little infants (Over 30 by the time they are 8) are completely safe and pose no threat what so ever to their precious and delicate little neurological systems?

How do you know vaccines did not traumatize the immune systems of people when they were young children, making them more susceptible to "chronic diseases" and later becoming money losing "Frequent Flyer Patients" today?

DM- i started following your blog during the financial meltdown and have been checking in almost daily now. Your blog makes sense of a lot of the social craziness my friends and I, as 30 year olds from the SF Bay Area have to deal with on a daily basis, ie women, nutrition, etc. The one thing I do disagree with your stance on Israel, but I'm sure we'll have much more time to talk about the Middle East in the coming weeks as the West engineers another War for profit. Keep up the good work.

Why do you even bother with this same old tired tactic? You are intent on wasting my time, aren't you.

Not tonight, bitch-lips.

Maybe you should open the doors of your home to the masses seeking care. Actually, that's a great idea.

I CHALLENGE YOU TO OPEN YOUR DOORS, AND TAKE ALL COMERS....WHATEVER KIND OF AILMENT.

Get back at me in a couple of months with your results....

Sasha,

Context please. The article talks about how pancreatic cancer cells can metabolize fructose to proliferate. These cells are already cancerous, and are able to not only utilize glucose, but can use the pentose phosphate pathway to also metabolize fructose. Interesting article indeed.

The article says the consumption of high fructose corn syrup has risen about 1000%, but it seems pancreatic cancer incidence and mortality rates have remained the same over the last 20 years.

I haven't read the journal article (I'll get to it), but the FoxNews article makes no mention of what type of fructose (aka the sugar found in many fruits and vegetable...and is in a 1 to 1 ratio with glucose and constitutes 70% of the total sugar in that carrot our hosts daughter is munching on). Would there be this much hand waving if they went back to making all those high calorie sodas with pure cane sugar?

Sasha, what's interesting is that the incidence of pancreatic cancer has been stable for decades...and has actually slowly decreased in men and increased in women....why? Probably because of the change in cigarette smoking habits. Incidence is highest in black men. And age is the most significant risk factor for this disease...median age is 69 in white people and 65 in black. Obesity is one of the risk factors.

I'll bet you'd get more out of campaigning against cigarette smoking than against fructose ingestion on this one.

DMG:

Why can't we campaign equally against cigarette smoking AND against HFCS? You are so quick to speak out against any information that suggests the chemicals in modern day food are health risks. Yet, not once, have you bothered to enlighten us as to how these chemicals are beneficial, harmless, and/or useful to and for human consumption.

Sasha,

Fix that knot in your panties. You can campaign against anything you like...but if you are talking about pancreatic cancer, cigarettes smokers are TWICE as likely to develop the disease as those who don't, and about 30% of all cases are thought to be a direct result.

No evidence has been found to directly link high fructose corn syrup with pancreatic cancer.

As far as diabetes (which could suggest a fructose link...) it's not clear cut...since the glucose intolerance may actually result FROM the cancer.

About breaking down the details of "HFCS" apparently you haven't been listening. I broke down the fructose thing a few months ago. Keep up.

You act like I've never said avoid eating like a pig, exercise and generally live healthy. It's not that hard, and doesn't require $50 bread.

What I have said is it's really stupid to talk about high fructose corn syrup like it's the cause of all disease....especially without any real evidence other than a bunch of cobbled together websites. The difference is that you believe that it's not the amount of fructose consumed, but rather that there is some intrinsic property of high fructose corn syrup that mysteriously causes obesity and disease.

If you want to be enlightened crack a book rather than a website, and for godsakes quit listening to noveau internet street hustlers like our host.

Oh, good you found the detailed explanation.

Entertaining videos (I got bored watching Clash of the Titans, but my kid seems to like it, so I came back to see what you were up to since you are FAR more entertaining).

Would you really like to know how I prescribe medications. And you know there are only a few I actually prescribe. These are:

1. Post-op pain meds. Usually 4-7 days of an opioid depending on the incision site, amount of pain, etc. If they will be in the hospital for most of that time (rare), I'll try wean them off after 3-4 days--depending on their pain tolerance. Then it's Tylenol.

2. Antibiotics. Usually don't need to write a prescription for this. I gear it toward whatever bacterial infection they've been proven to have. Or if they need prophylaxis, etc. There are other indications.

3. Any other post-op medications deemed necessary. At the lowest dose needed, for the shortest amount of time.

By the way most of these are generics. I don't even speak the trade name unless it's easier to say or it's confusing with another med. For instance I say Linezolid rather than Zyvox (trade name)...since it's often confused with Zosyn (trade name)...but is easier to say than it's generic--Pipericillin-Tazobactam.

Now what's all this you are getting excited about? And why did I even bother explaining this to you?

Wax, really, what kick-backs could I possibly be getting from whomever is making Zosyn? They aren't even allowed to bring me a crappy fast food lunch anymore. Most of the Pharm reps are nice, and they have a job to do. Most people I know are usually too busy to talk to them for more than 5 minutes a month. Now, I have no idea how it works in Family Practice or Internal Medicine. You'd have to ask them. I'm actually more interested in talking to surgical instrument reps.
