"I've been dealing with Bank of America for over a year, 2 short sales fell through, lost job, heart attack (2nd one) and had hardship approved--BUT talked to a foreclosure attorney and MUST be careful with Deed in Lieu papers--banks may put in there wording that will leave the homeowner liable for the shortfall between new appraised value and loan value!

YES seek a foreclosure specialist who is busy so they are familiar with all the twists and turns as the new administration has so many updates and changes, the banks are taking advantage of the citizens not knowing the details.

We finally had to move out and I'll be contacting B of A about Deed in Lieu but will take papers to attorney before I sign anything. Beware and be safe."
