Nobody I know is on the look out for a friend of a certain ethnicity. For me skin color is never considered. Again I don't really know you, but it seems like from what you describe are holding back from having other than black friends. I could be wrong, but to me it seems like there's an issue that you haven't discussed.

Actually I don't really believe in the concept of psychoanalysis. I'm merely telling you how you come off here on this blog. But I'm still really curious that this time, you haven't run across ONE person who is white that you wouldn't consider a friend. The odds just seem to be against not having one. But I'm not taking demographics into account and of course don't know where you live.
So, let's clear some stuff up:
1. There is no asterisk on my Medical Doctorate that says "black". This is a statement of fact. Why am I expected to run right over to an all black neighborhood and only treat black folks in some run down public health run primary care position? Think of that expectation from an economic standpoint.
2. I don't criticize "black" mannerisms. I point them out for what they are.
3. My spouse is the woman I fell in love with. The only criteria I've ever had for a woman is her level of intelligence. I just happen to think really smart women are sexy. I could never be with a bimbo or dullard. Physical attributes are secondary. My wife just also happens to be tall and athletic, and doesn't break a sweat until she's run at least 5 miles...and she gets along great with my sister...which was a real test. The woman speaks 5 languages, and is great with finances, and is an excellent, and a very gentle mother to my son. What's not to like? So if anyone is going to reproach me about my wife, talk about who she is as person. Or are we really NOT post racial up in here?
