OK... OK. Joshua Clottey Might Be The Blackest Man On The Internet

KP said ...
I'm surprised at some of the pacquiao lovefest i'm hearing. Its about as bad as the lead announcer selling the pacquiao/mayweather matchup during the entire fight.

Clottey was about as inactive as a boxer can get in a champ fight and YET he was still able to touch pacquiao clean WAY more than Pac's corner would have liked to see. If Clottey risked it all, trusted his power, showed a sense of urgency and actually tried to win he may have.

Pacquiao has ZERO defense and mayweather will give him hella trouble cuz he's quicker, smarter, accurate, conserves energy and is probably the best counter puncher Pacquiao will have ever faced.

Pacquiao has a punchers chance vs. Mayweather but the poor defense and welling up to that extent after maybe 15-20 total punches from clottey spells trouble for Team Pac.

If Pac couldn't find Clottey (with solid, meaningful punches) all night how is he supposed to find Mayweather?

If Clottey is covering his face all night where's the hook to the body, hook to the head or hook body, uppercut?

Pac won because he was busy, not because he landed anything. All the meaningful shots came from Clottey but he didn't throw enough to give himself a shot.

As far as mayweather being scared, I'm not so sure about that BUT I know he's never mentioned drug testing before. Either its game or he was worried after Pacquiao made quick work of Hatton, who gave Mayweather trouble before getting ko'd.

Till May loses Pac is not the best pound for pound. I've never seen an undefeated champ pushed aside for a cat with 3 losses (including a KO) and 2 draws EVER. Its total BS. Its clear May is just a thorn in the side of those who control the discourse.

Heheheh I've seen Blacker though. My baby sister had a boyfriend years ago. He was attractive and quite dark. Anyway, she went to pick him up for a date one night and drove around in circles three times before he flagged her down. She literally could not see him in the dark. I swear at night time, he should have always worn something bright to prevent possible accidents in dim lit streets! The diversity of humanity does make life interesting!

Yeah, Mayweather ain't scared. You don't schedule a fight with Sugar Shane out of fear. Pac walked away from 30 mill. Them's allot of meals. People suspect a move like that must mean somebody is hiding something. Mayweather's corner is from the old school. They concerned Pac-Man is juicing some power pellets.

Clottey said that while he didn't feel that he had lost to Margarito or Cotto, he said “I lost this fight with Manny Pacquiao”. When asked if he would do anything different if he could fight Pacquiao again, he said, “I think I did my best”. “Manny Pacquiao is fast,” Clottey said. “He’s extremely fast. That’s the best thing about him, his speed.”

One of the most interesting statements made by Clottey was his answer to one journalist who asked how he felt a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather would play out. He stated that he thinks it would be an extremely difficult fight for Mayweather due to Pacquiao's aggressiveness and speed.

LOL. What Up Ces!!

My son won a Golden Gloves championship this yesterday.

I spent the entire weekend with several generations of black boxing enthusiasts.

We had a big breakfast at IHop (ughhhh). Must have been about 20 young boxers, fathers, coaches and trainers.

The Mayweather / Pac fight came up.

The consensus among the fellas was that Mayweather would walk away with it. Easily.

Why?

Too Black for Pacquiao.

Clottey African. But African fighters tend to fall short on the Black meter too.

KP may feel me on that one.

Them brothers can be a little stiff.

That's why they don't do anything in the NBA unless they are 7 feet tall.

Black Americans have a special Blackness that science doesn't even understand.

DV, I feel you.

I really do, and I agree with ya'.

There is something about Black Americans.

I realized that back in High School when all the hottest chicks used to hang around with all those bastards... LOL, not that I mean it now though.

But you know, I admit it. I was kind of jealous for not being black, LOL.

May vs Pac, I gotta a different feeling about this one. I would usually go for Mayweather, but not this time.

Let's see what's up against Mosley first.

Gee-Chee, Pacquiao ain't Chinese xD

LOL, I know I am, how did you know?

Oh! My bad! You have a name KP.

Sheeeit KP... You are making an analysis based on this last fight?

Clottey defended all night, yeah yeah! Pacquiao got distracted a little, because he was more concentrated in punching the punk ass.

Mayweather won't play that game of defense like Clottey.

It would be an open fight, a lot different from what you saw last night.

Pacquiao's defense is his speed, he will just wait for Mayweather to go for him and with his overconfidence he might get his ass kicked. Mayweather is not faster than Pacquiao, he just got a longer punch.

Hell of a fight will be Champ KP.

May has been criticized (by fans who want him to mix it up) for too much defense for a good portion of his career. Not enough KO's, boxing rather than brawling, not wanting to get hit, going the distance instead of putting some guys away etc. and I don't expect him to change. He wants to stay pretty, score and avoid blows. Period. So I expect a far more entertaining fight with more exchanges but he will not brawl. I really think Pac's high punch count is playing into May's hands because he will find opportunities to land like all true counter punchers do.

You gotta understand, May can defend and score simultaneously because of his guard style. He can always see opposed to Clottey's one dimensional hands in face that invites punches. May will duck, weave, switch to southpaw if necessary, use his shoulders and throw from multiple angles during his defense so Pac has far more to worry about.

Regarding Pac's defense, Freddie Roach himself said defense was his primary order of business when he joined Team Pac as lead trainer (right around the Hatton fight I think), so speed as defense won't cut it and simply trying to be busier than May won't either.

If anything this Clottey fight somewhat exposed Pac as far as I'm concerned. If anyone believes this fight was a great showing from Pac, the announcers were leading you by the nose.

I didn't see the fight but from what my boys are telling me is that Clottey rocked Pac whenever he did hit him. They made good points that nobody is really interested in seeing an African fight Shane or May.

-Gave Pac a knot under his eye
-Clottey came out with no scars
-Funny business

Possibly Clottey got a little extra payday. I can believe that. If this was suppose to be the third largest fight in history, then I it ain't dope that makes people homocidal, it's the money behind the dope.

May said in an interview that Mexican vs Blacks fights sell, not Black vs. Black commenting on accusations of ducking a Shane/May fight.

Pac represents Asians, Latinos & Whites. May reps blacks. Whites are already pissed off at May for being a loud mouth Negro. The whole Latino vs. Black thing. Actually Mexicans specifically got cultural issues with blacks. Asians will back Pac off of nationality alone.

A Pac/May fight is more profitable than a May/Clottey fight. Even a Shane/Pac fight is not as demanding as a May/Pac fight.
