My Wife Loves Me
When we first got married it was chicken breasts and brown rice. Had the babies and it became organic vegetarian and no vaccines. Today it is Zuchini humus with sprouted wheat berry crackers. Wasn't for her I'd still be eatin' like CNu and looking like Undercover Black Man. GetAChick.

Stop feeding your ego DV, and share some RECIPES!! xD
^ And while you're at it, DV... please lower your skirt.
iLove that marrows are so versatile and can be used to make so much stuff. When iEat raw, that's my staple.
iAint the best of friends with Tahini so I've only made the hummus a couple of times, it tastes great but in a couple of hours my stomach starts to cramp up.
DV, have you ever tried hemp bread? What's it taste like?
Naa, Dv.
I said recipes, not a picture "zoom in" xD
KW, I haven't tried hemp bread, now I'm curious.
I drink it tough, not bad.
how were the crackers made since you are 'raw'?
Mahndisa
You could put them in a hydrator or put them in the oven at the first heat setting. Another potion is to dry them out naturally, flip 'em over every ten hours. When I make tomato flax crackers I dry 'em out over 3 days (depending on weather, in summer its 1-2 days) - long process but wellworth the wait.
Ces
Dunno how Mrs V makes hers, but here's a recipe I've used:
Marrows/Zuchinni Peeled and Chopped
1/4 Cup Raw Tahini (they say soaked sesame seeds also work but never tried it)
4 tbsp Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
1/2 Tsp Cumin
Paprika to your taste
1/2 tsp oil
1 Minced Garlic Clove and/or White onions
Fresh parsley or cilantro
1 Tsp Unrefined Sea Salt to taste(Optional)
Blend the marrows and then add other ingredients and blend everything into a paste, chill in fridge for an hour and it's good to go.
oops that's meant to be option not potion, lol.
The way of waiting for three days sounds labor intensive but consistent with the raw mantra. It doesn't make sense to use a dehydrator or the oven because that wouldn't be raw. The dehydrator heats at 140 degrees Fahrenheit which is far from raw!
BUT we are thinking of getting one soon because they are quite useful!
LOL, Thanks for the recipe KW. I'll try it out.
M, the dehydrator temperature is adjustable, at these temperatures the enzymes are still conserved that is why they consider it "raw", as opposite it to being cooked or burned by higher temperatures (cooking/frying).
I've also tried germinating seeds. I've done it with beans. They are completely raw and edible. You eat that thing raw and you will notice the difference. It's like having a red bull, but better.
I cannot eat many raw foods due to oral allergy syndrome, whether certified organic or not. I take issue with the term raw being applied to food that has been cooked in any capacity but I also see there is a vocabulary that is internal to raw 'foodists'.
My husband does fairly well on raw but my little son is like me; too much raw creates fungus due to imbalance in the body. We are sensitive. So to get veg nutrients we cook the veggies in water and butter and eat the veggies then drink the veggie water afterwards which is supposed to carry the nutrients with the fat from the butter.
I've long asked raw foodists what they could do for someone like me but they haven't been able to answer. That is why I got on DV about dietary dogma last month because raw is good for short stretches I am sure for most HUMANS. BUT it doesn't and cannot work for everybody.
BTW, anyone have a natural cure for lupus or rheumatoid arthritis? Please don't say eating raw;)
Eating Raw!! LOL
So, If you juice up some fruit and veggies per day you get those reactions?
I've read some things about alkalized water being curative of rheumatoid arthritis.
Can't say that from experience, my mom has the same shit.
But honestly I buy bottled distilled water or and then purify it with precious stones like amethysts and shit.
I'm dead serious. And then I put some antioxidant fruits to kind of alkalize it a little.
If I got money I get artesian, LOL.
Getting an alkalizer might be a good option, I'm not saying is curative, but it might be better for anyone's health overall.
Also, it may sound silly and new "agey", but this guy made some crazy experiments with the water "proving" that our energy or any type of energy around affects everything, and water as well.
I have tried it myself with fruits.
The ones with the bad words on it go bad way faster.
Crazy stuff to take in consideration.
Yes Ces, I DO get those reactions and the interesting thing is that they come and go but have been coming more than going lately. I grated some raw carrots last month and my throat began to itch and start to close, so I had to dose on Benadryl to stop the inflammation. And as much as a miracle drug as Benadryl is, I don't like to take it all that often!
As to getting an alkalizer; I'd heard of that and sometimes what is considered New Age mumbo jumbo might hold curative powers. Frankly, I am willing to try a great many things to heal.

Really, Ces. Really? The list of people on this site whom I can take seriously gets smaller every day. Our host was never on the list.
mmm... ok.
