If DV wants to go all Kevin Trudeau up in his spot - what wrong with that?
While I cannot agree that EVERYONE would benifit from the exact same (high acid) diet - there does seem to be an optimal diet for each individual.
What I'm hearing from DV is that we should seek more holistic cures first and elminate the need for any addiction to medications or common medical pratices (and their many adverse side effects).
DV - Diet and Exercise
Modern Medicine - Gastric Bypass
DV - Sunlight
MM - Supplements
DV - Diet and Exercise
MM - Ritalin
Honestly...,
Which makes more sense?

Sensational headlines won't make your distortions more true. Just makes you more laughable.

UBJ,
Are you trying to make some sort of joke?
I think you've gotten things a bit confused here. Modern medicine has been YELLING for people to get off their asses and exercise at least since I was a kid, and to follow a sensible diet, so please let's not make simple "comparisons" because it's dishonest at best.
Modern medicine:
Diet and exercise
MOTI:
Expensive fad foods that are "organic" (whatever that means) and unattainable due to cost for most of the population. (I do believe I posted a calculator comparing "organic" food to regular grocery stores awhile back).
If you want to go out and be an urban farmer, more power to you, but please do be careful with the fertilizer...
Modern medicine:
supplements are NOT needed if you follow a sensible diet.
MOTI:
...well, maybe you should just take a look at what his experts are all pushing...dietary supplements that will most often be pissed down the toilet with the money you just spent.
Sunlight does not cure viral illness, nor does it prevent it. Where have you been? We've been over that ad nauseum the past few months.
Gastric bypass is indicated when a patient has FAILED to lose weight using conventional means--sensible diet and exercise regimen and has a high likelihood of morbidity mortality due to morbid obesity. Gastric bypass is not for people who aren't committed to making significant lifestyle changes ie. continued healthy eating and exercise. Gastric bypass isn't for people who want to shed a few pounds to look good on the beach, don't get this twisted.
Ritalin may be overprescribed in this country. However, for the people who are truly ADHD and who cannot otherwise reasonably function in school or work it is an efficacious medication.
UBJ, you all seem to have picked up on this "acid" thing Waxy was trying to preach the last couple of days. Have any of you ever realized that your body regulates it's own pH quite well?
For those of you without a science background here's a tutorial for those of you WITH a science background--you know how to find this stuff on your own, (quit being lazy).
"Which makes more sense?"
You cannot be serious if you think our host has EVER made sense.
@ DMG - But don't many medications have a negative inpact on the kidneys?
