Pat Robertson has repeatedly proven himself to be a bigot, racist, xenophobe and all around idiot. Yet, he aways gets a job. And, he gets a job that allows him to disseminate his thoughts to millions of people.
The same media that called on President Obama to apologize for the fact that Louis Farrakhan endorsed him, despite no attempts by Obama to seek that endorsement, allows Pat Robertson to work for them and say total crap.
If Farrakhan doesn't deserve to be taken seriously, how can you take Robertson seriously? And if you don't take Robertson seriously, why are you allowing him a national platform on cable news? It's a ridiculous double standard. If you're willing to filter out Robertson's bigotry to get his salient points, then why is it impossible to the same thing for anybody with melanin in their skin?
As for Haiti's continued problems, anybody who believes that Haiti was allowed allowed the ability to develop as a nation without the interference of white-dominated nations is a fool. Western nations have repeatedly worked to make sure Haiti's development has been retarded. Any other argument is intellectually dishonest.
