Yeah, well whenever you do bring up valid points of discussion they are not taken seriously among most. Let them be. I've grown tired talking to my family and friends about this issue. My Grandparents and Father in law are dead set on taking the vaccine because they do whatever the doctor tells them to do and don't listen to me. Oh well.

I've had the same issues with members of my own family, many of whom are medical doctors, and supposedly educated.
What I've come to learn is that these people are adherents to a faith, a religion, a cult ... and Medical Doctors are their High Priests.
Just like Jehovas Witnesses, or Moonies, or Any Cult, when confronted with facts and evidence which contradicts their core tenets, they respond emotionally and from a place of fear.
To reject a ... "Medical Doctor" ... is to reject a religion ... to reject the religion is to reject the FAITH IN MAN ... it is to invite the wrath of their God (which is really themselves. They are playing God).

I’m thinking that if it becomes available to me, I probably will get the vaccine for H1N1. Also, for the first time, I think I will get the vaccine for the everyday flu.
Maybe DV is right, or maybe DV is wrong about the vaccine. I don’t have the time or inclination at this point to worry about all that. My uninformed opinion, which I think is probably close to the truth, is that there are probably some risks with the vaccine but that overall, the risks associated with the flu are somewhat greater.
I accept that this might be an incorrect assumption. But whatever happens to me as a result of taking or not taking the vaccine, I accept the full responsibility. This is not a risk-free life, and it isn’t the Garden of Eden. For whatever happens to me here, I accept the full responsibility. In my tradition, accepting the full responsibility for your life and your death is called freedom.
A free human being, in my tradition, loves this life with heart and soul and agrees with the warriors who think it’s a good day to die.

Although I can feel your angle and agree 100% that there are those in the medical, government and media realms with diabolical aims closely representing what you say, I think something more fundamental is at work.
I don't doubt that a "new" virus has emerged in our increasingly diverse environment. It is a truism that the more diverse an environment becomes the more dangerous the environment is to any individual lifeform. If one of your first principles is the primacy of "diversity" then fundamentally you advocate for a more dangerous environment via an increasingly diversified biota. One can easily discern that a Liberal society is an increasingly deadly society because of suicidal love of diversity which necessarily includes emergent viruses with deadly potential along with the more obvious mingling of non-liberal ethnics.

Diversity is not singular in its political usage, the 'truism' from TD's viewpoint is not universal law; diversity in and of itself is a diversity; a series of endless pluralisms each a political force complicit or resistant to the status quo.
TD's example above assumes that diversity is constructed by the powerful to preside over the powerless. Cultural diversity, on these terms is configured by a singularistic mind because equality as sameness is the end goal. My notion of a greater diversity producing greater danger for any particular lifeform is near universal as it gets. Show me extreme allegiance to diversity and I will show you a necessary breakdown in almost all facets of life. The only ones who want to live in "diversity" are those who's first principle requires it. It is, afterall, a battle between those with conviction for Truth and those who are anti-conviction. Conviction is subjective and relative; it does not make the struggle for Truth anymore right. Is the conviction of 'freedom to pursue prosperity' upon which America is built a 'good' for all people at all times? As you say DV, diversity is the natural state of things. And so the concern is the political program that claims a desire and need for increased diversity. There is no real push for homogenization. This "diversity" program explicitly desires to mash different peoples and viruses together. The outcome is a more dangerous and uncertain environment where those who are consciously preparing for such a chaotic environment will be the winnners. Think C. Nulance as the perfect example of what I speak.
So to answer your question konwomyn, I would simply say that you haven't reached that point where the logical consequence of your beliefs has unambiguously inspired you to push your conviction to it's logical extreme.
