Let's get to the meat of the thing shall we brah?

Are you compelled to obtain the "approval" of others to practice your extremely high-skilled profession?

Are the purveyors of tangible and objective product or performance in any category compelled to seek the "approval" of others to practice their trade?

Journalists and politicians have no objective skills to speak of. As pure "relationship" managers, they're constantly compelled to placate the whims of others.

Pure plantation functionaries, no exceptions....,

But the meaning of "educated" has changed beyond recognition in two hundred years. Reading, writing, and arithmetic are no longer sufficient to decide on public policy. Now we need quantum mechanics and molecular biology. The knowledge required for political rationality, once available to the masses, is now in the possession of a specially educated elite, a situation that creates a series of tensions and contradictions in the operation of representative democracy.
