Human beings are innately sentient beings. Some have simply lost their ability to feel. This lack of awareness of our inherent interconnection with all of humanity and nature is the reason for our current global state. The other person is not outside of us. We are all cosmically linked. People like Sister McKinney have realized this connection, and feel what their neighbor feels. This is the closest resemblance of our Creator. When people become aware of their spirit, we will see peace.
Ms. McKinney seems like an annoying person who is doing the right thing. I hate "alliances" like this. Like fighting for free speech and defending Soulja Boy, or fighting for black family entertainment and ending up on the same side as Tyler Perry, or protesting police brutality, and ending up standing with Jesse or Al.
These are all suspect characters in one way or another, even allowing that none of us are perfect. So Cynthia McKinney has the courage to help call out Israel for its bad behavior, great! But why does she have the crazy eyes?

When Clinton increased educational spending - I reported on a news release from her office in which she shouted from the mountain top about how this funding is going to reduce the dropout rate in her district. When evil Bush spent an amount that was double that of Clinton she attacked it as not enough.
Ida Wells-Barnett - Noted Black people were being killed and she called out the KILLERS and made those who sought to sweep these acts under the rug uncomfortable as they did not want to have "a few dead Negros" disrupt their happy views of America. Where as McKinney's South Dekalb district was in the top 3 most deadly district for Black Americans in the metro Atlanta region she was not inclined to call out the MURDERS of Black people because it might have served as an indictment of the prevailing political and social order that she is a part of in that particular community.
Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman delivered Black people from the bounds of SLAVERY with her actions. Cynthia McKinney's "social justice" policies effectively shackled certain Black communities to a standard of living that was not commensurate with their industriousness.
I would prefer that Ms McKenny return to her Georgia district and work to restore the retail outlets on the street that is named after her.
DV: It is wrong to say that calling her a bit crazy is a plantation meme. She has crazy eyes and has done some ludicrous shenanigans in the past. DV: She isn't the only person in Congress who didn't support invading Iraq. Barbara Lee from Oakland never supported incursions into the Middle East and was quite vocal about it. Heck, I think she has a point on our support for Israel no matter what, and someone must bring it to the table. One shouldn't be applauded for opposing Israel if it also means aiding and abetting violent jihadists.

If I had a dime for every time I have been accused of eccentric behavior. It's always eccentric when you day or do things that make the plantation residents uncomfortable. Speak the unadulterated truth about anything, and you will qualify.
That's Cynthia's major problem. She will tell the truth on you in a hot second. And what's worse, she knows enough about these things to make people who profit from keeping the truth quiet, very uncomfortable. I hear the plantation rumbling now. Because no matter what they do, she just won't seem to go away.
It's disingenuous to say that Cynthia was against spending for education, when what she was actually against was the test and trick ridiculousness that is No Child Left Behind.
I worked with Cynthia on her next to last Congressional campaign. I didn't work on the last one because I thought she didn't go at the establishment hard enough when we sent her back after the Majette fiasco. The deceptive Obama’s request for $2.775b for Israel is a clear violation of the Symington and Glenn amendments.

The Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended by the Symington Amendment and the Glenn Amendment of 1977, prohibits U.S. military assistance to nations that acquire or transfer nuclear reprocessing technology outside of international nonproliferation regimes, such as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Israel has refused to sign the NPT and for very good reason – it would be in breach of the treaty as it is a nuclear weapons power.
Officially both the U.S. and Israel pretend that this is not the case. Why? I think you have to look at her mission.
Was it to actually deliver goods to Gaza? That's noble, but you can't accomplish that mission from jail. And I think she knew she'd be intercepted by the Israeli Navy (likely operating illegally in international waters off the coast).
Was it to grab headlines to bring the focus back to what's happening to Gaza? Also, noble. Mission accomplished by a high profile individual being jailed in Israel.
(I will give her the benefit of doubt that her mission was not to grab headlines for personal self-promoting reasons a la Jesse Jackson).
However, kids in Gaza aren't eating anything addressed to them from McKinney's boat tonight, but we are talking about Gaza again...or are we only talking about how black or not Cynthia McKinney is?
