De La Hoya got robbed in that fight with Trinidad.
He got robbed again in that first fight vs Moseley.
Felix Sturm got robbed when he fought Oscar in his tune up before Bhop. Felix whooped Oscar.
Joshua Clottey had a great showing. He fought with pride. He fought hard. He gave Cotto just about all he could handle. But he did not get robbed. He got dropped in the 2nd round. And lost the 12th convincingly, a round he desparately needed to even make a credible case for a draw.
Any boxing fan knows that Cotto is a beast. He has been hurt in many fights and has come back to win in dramatic fashion. Cotto is like the Lakers. Yeah.. you can have him hurt, but you don't really feel comfortable because you know what he's capable of. In order to beat him, you must knock him out. You must destroy him. You must leave nothing to the judges. Ask Margarito. Clottey matched him. Not enough.
Now, scoring the bout 166-111 was absolutely riduclous. But the right guy got the 'W'.
If anything I thought it was draw. Clottey didn't win the 11th or 12th which would've given him the fight in my opinion. He was obviously the more skilled fighter but the last two rounds lost the fight for him.
I never saw Clottey get hit. Except when he was against the ropes, took a few through the gloves, looked at Cotto and shook his head "Nope. You didn't hurt me. Walked forward and tagged him"

Check it DV. Big Wayne was conceived by a boxer, raised in gyms, has sparred numerous times and knows more about boxing than he does about women. Oh..and I hate listening to Lamps.
Now, since I'm keepin it 100 with you, Keep it 100 with your boy. You didn't actually watch this fight did you? (Not rhetorical)
Wanna know how I know? This was a dead giveaway:
" Even got you thinking the Puerto Rican cat with the blood streaming down his face won the fight. "
Had you actually watched the entire fight instead of watching snippets on youtube, you might actually know that the cut spewing the blood you mentioned was the result of an accidental head butt. So, yes, the Rican with the "blood streaming down his face" did win this fight. (I wonder if Lamps convinced me that Cotto dropped him clean in the 2nd round or if that really happened. )
And DV, in this sport, it is quite normal for the guy with blood streaming down his face to be the winner of the bout. Search either of the Micky Ward/Arturo Gatti fights or either of the Marquez/Pacquiao fight then YOU tell me if the guy with blood streaming down his face won the fight.
Just for the record, kind sir, every source of contention between you and others cannot always be reduced to the control white people have over the feeble wittle minds of bwaqk people. Do you not realize that these Plantation Negro sentiments that you convey actually work to empower and perpetuate the GSWS?
lol. All that's cute Wayne. You used to box when you were little. I like that.
But the brother won the fight.
The split decision with the ridiculous 116-111 card, (probably calculated before they even rang the bell for the first round) and this morning's announcement of a multi-million dollar Cotto v Pacquiao fight offers some motivation for the subterfuge.
Headbutt? Yup.
The consequence? Deep cut?
The consequence? Blood pouring into the left eye?
The consequence? Clottey's right fist repeatedly banging into the head of Cotto.
Cotto was awarded rounds just for surviving.
Didn't the brother double the punch count?
Weren't his punches cleaner?
Watch it again Big Wayne, without Jim Lampley, who you think you don't hear.

crickets.
But I'll give you some credit though. Your comments are of one who actually understands the sport. (although you do communicate with a lot of people)
So since you understand the game, this should be a real easy lesson. Clottey got dropped in the second round. That's a two point lead. He lost the 11th and 12th easy. four points. In 3 rounds Cotto's up four pts, and only needs three to win. For clottey to have won, he would had to have wonn seven of the remaining nine rounds.
You know that didn't happen.
You can't get dropped in a fight and then trade rounds. Mathematically, you can never win.
The dude put up a good fight. I like Josh Clottey. I enjoyed watching him put hands on Zab Judah. And I already said that that one judge was off. But he lost the fight.

It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live—did live, from habit that became instinct—in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized."

The founders of the American state understood that the proper functioning of a democracy required an educated electorate. It is this understanding that justifies a system of public education and that led slaveholders to resist the spread of literacy among their chattels. But the meaning of "educated" has changed beyond recognition in two hundred years. Reading, writing, and arithmetic are no longer sufficient to decide on public policy. Now we need quantum mechanics and molecular biology. The knowledge required for political rationality, once available to the masses, is now in the possession of a specially educated elite, a situation that creates a series of tensions and contradictions in the operation of representative democracy.

Robbed? Fight was on in the restuarant where we are dinner on Saturday. Everytime I look up, your boy was on his back! LOL.
Nah White boy was holding it down. I don't know how they score boxing so, I m gonna have to trust the judges.

Hella boring round zzzzz
Well my brother, DV, something touched his chin and sent him to the canvas in the 2nd.
And 9 times out of 10, when a boxer shakes his head as to indicate that the punches he took did not hurt, the punches hurt.
Nah Big Wayne. You don't realize it, but them white boys got in your ear. You heard Jim Lampley's voice all night and got hypnotized.
Emmanuel Stewart laughed in his face when he insisted Cotto was ahead on the scorecards.
