Joshua Brandon Norris is expected to graduate soon and become a Morehouse Man, with all its prestige. At 22, he’s had a good run during his time at Morehouse College. He drove a Hummer, co-owned a fashion store at Perimeter Mall and owns a stylish $450,000 townhouse.
He also shot another student.
Across the country, Frank Rashad Johnson, the victim, attends Sacramento City College and lives with his mother, trying to save money. He, too, wanted to be a Morehouse Man.
“My great-uncle was a classmate of Martin Luther King’s,” Johnson said. “It has a long history of exemplary students and good men. It was my dream school.”
But all that fell apart when he was shot three times outside a school-related Halloween party near Atlantic Station in 2007. Police reports say Norris was kicked out of a nightclub, had words with Johnson after bumping into him outside, then shot the fellow Morehouse student during a struggle in the street. AJC>

Typical? I dunno. But it damn show seems like it.
Why do they always feel that the solution to a problem is thru the barrel of a gun... or am I assuming that they have the ability to feel? I can't for the life of me understand why a young man would give up a normal life(end up in prison) just to shoot someone over something silly.
they?
I don't know who "they" are in this case.
But that question could be asked of men From George Washington To Snoop Doggy Dog.
From Barack Obama to Kool G. Rap.
The implication that young black men are the only men who shoot and kill for "silly" reasons rampant among Plantation Negros.
Hell, on an even playing field, I'm willing to lay odds young black men are the least prone to violence of any men on the planet.

Comparitively, you may be right about black men being the least prone to violence. However, I don't really care about the males of any other race so that psuedo comparitive analysis means nothing to me.
Secondly, the effect of black violence on the black community is more important to me than which race is more violent than the other.
Sure , there are external factors that have created this culture of violence, as well as internal factors.
Let's focus on the ones that we can control or correct instead of trying to measure the violence levels amongst the different races.
you missed the point ... Anonymous.
it's not comparison for comparison sake.
There is a fundamental flaw in your premise: "Why do THEY always feel that the solution to a problem is thru the barrel of a gun"
the comparison reveals that THEY do not feel any such thing.
Yet. Flawed assumptions like yours prevail and they have much to do with feeding young black men to the Prison Industrial Complex.
Dolla, R.I.P. ...
"the comparison reveals that THEY do not feel any such thing"
How is that? could it be that they feel it more or less than other races? That is according to your comparative analysis, scientific or otherwise.
Certainly, their actions and gun crime statistics show that black youth have a relatively high use of guns . Something must compel them to use guns to solve problems as opposed to fists, knifes, clubs, etc
Me thinks it is you that misses the point.
Homie had a $450,000 condo in college? Crazy.
"Certainly, their actions and gun crime statistics show that black youth have a relatively high use of guns" Yet Another "Anonymous"
Over the past 100 years white men have killed other white men with guns in numbers approaching 100 Million.
Any suggestion that "black youths use guns more" than anyone else is foolish Plantation Negro nonsense parroting Massa.
"Any suggestion that "black youths use guns more" than anyone else is foolish Plantation Negro nonsense parroting Massa."
Why are you more concerned about weho uses guns more? It that what your post was about
Oooohh Massa uses guns alot, and has conquered many lands..hell he even brought us over here.. so lets use guns too, let's kill each other over women drugs and whatever. As long as Massa does it more than us, then we are ok....... Is that your point?
we really must do something about the school system in this country ...
Let me try again:
In order for your premise that "black youth have a high use of guns" to be remotely valid - the use of guns by black youth must be compared to another group.
Agreed?
___yes ____no
I point out 1) that in the grand scheme of things black youth have killed each other on a much smaller scale than other more violent groups of people and 2) The persistent meme which assumes black youth are more violent than other groups is so thoroughly implanted in the heads of Plantation Negros and Crackas by the Plantation operators that they cannot even fathom anything different.

Ummm... reality check, DV.
Between 1976 and 2005, 42 percent of all gun homicides in the United States were perpetrated by white folks.
And 56 percent of all gun homicides in the United States were perpetrated by black folks.
There’s a world of information at your fingertips, DV. These worldwide internets are made of awesome. You might could strengthen your political pronouncements with some actual facts.
Well My Conventional Black ...
Let's take a closer look at your meme that says "black men use guns more".
Deaths in the US Civil War: 646,392
Deaths in WW I: 16,543,185
Deaths in WW II: 72,769,900
Korean Conflict: 3,500,000
Deaths in Vietnam: 5,000,000
Now UB, let's assume 60% of these deaths were not the results of gunfire.
And let's assume half the killing was done by non-whites. And we'll skip the Native Americans who just seemed to disappear around the time your boys got here from Europe.
Either way white men have used guns to kill people in exponentially larger numbers than have black men.
Er ... Fuckin' .. go:
The assertion that "black youth / men have a high use of guns" is absurd when compared to non-black men.
Reality Check Mate.
^ Uhhh... wow. I'm flabbergasted. Can't argue with that kind of thinking.
It was obvious that's where DV was going with his logic, and he makes a good point.
Always gotta be careful about using language that backs up erroneous assumptions like "black people are more violent." That stuff is insidious.
However, the truth is that in America, thanks to a host of factors, black men are more prone to use guns to kill each other than any other group.
I guess the real problem is that until we can come to some sort of agreement on the cause of this reality, we're never going to agree on the correct solution to the problem.
It was obvious that's where DV was going with his logic, and he makes a good point.
No, Big Man, he makes a ridiculous point. Soldiers in an army during wartime do not engage in gun violence volitionally. They are armed by the state, trained in the use of weapons by the state, and deployed with a duty to use deadly force by the state.
Who introduced the straw man in the first place that "black people are more violent"? That ain't the fucking issue. It's that black Americans as a subset are more criminally violent than Americans in general. As simply illustrated by the fact that black men commit more than half of all homicides in the U.S.A.
But DV ain't about dealing with that reality.
DV makes no point what so ever.... because , it's not really important who uses guns more... what's important is that the use of guns is causing unecessary death and destruction... whether in Iraq, or in the black neighbourhood or where ever. His post happened to be about two black guys involved in a senseless killing... thus the response about gun violence in the black community.... can we discuss that without going of on an unecessary pointless tangent about who is more violent? Who cares?
