Children of parents who refuse to have their children vaccinated against whooping cough are 23 times more likely to develop the disease than children who get the shots, according to a new study. What you know about this hurr DV?

I'm hearing about it from a respected acquaintance who is several weeks into self-experimentation and reports some very interesting though slightly harrowing side effects.

jury's out.

I'll just wait until I hear some more from the cat deep into self-experimentation.

on the face of it, it doesn't look like it could do any harm - but then - something this inexpensive and universal in its application should be more widespread if it does what Humble claims that it does.

DV,

You ever undergo or know anybody who has undergone an Herxheimer reaction?

So far, the consensus seems to be that it precipitates a fairly radical Herxheimer. That seems to be the major complaint, that as you build to a certain daily dosage, it brings about a fairly dramatic reaction that most folks don't want to abide.

It's certainly not the fantasy cleansing reaction described in Bob and the Oxygen Wars.

does anyone know what the difference is, as far as the overall effect, between doing the master cleanse and just getting a colonic? I don't understand why someone would choose to starve for 10 days if they can just get it all out in one session?

Pink, there's a lot of strange history involved with sanitarium practices. (not mental hospitals mind you) but the dietary and behavioral "retreats" organized for the wealthy during the 19th century.

Without going into gory detail, I'm not aware of ANY practitioners of the high-colonic tissue cleansing regimen who do it absent a pretty stringent dietary precursor, corollary, and follow-on.

Cause the fundamental idea was NOT colon-cleansing per se, rather, it was intended to precipitate a global tissue cleansing and simply make fuller use of the alimentary system as a major waste disposal system along with lungs, lymphatic, urinary, and dermal.

The late Bernard Jensen provides the classic nineteenth century type account

Thanks CNu. I don't want the gory details but I do need to read up on it further.
