If The People of Gaza Were Gay, Would The American People Have Tolerated The Israeli Massacre? Group Identity Politics 003

Deconstruction of Gay and Jewish entitlement is less an exercise in homophobia or anti-Semitism than it is an illustration of the political and ethical duplicity inherent in victim politics.

Exaggeration of victim status by any group, depletes the finite human resource of empathy available for other groups. Eventually this imbalance creates a group hierarchy with some groups (Gays & Jews) a little more deserving of empathy and thus more human than others groups (Africans & Muslims).

It's a power play. Thus 100 Holocaust Movies about something that happened 60 years ago and no real coverage of the 6 Million lives lost in Congo over the past 6 years. The impassioned anger, protest and political action in response to Proposition 8 in California - yet cold eerie silence about children massacred in Palestine before our very eyes.

Unfortunately the people of Gaza will have to start boning each other in the ass to keep from getting murdered.

It may not keep them from getting murdered, but it would get them a whole lot of airplay in Hollywood.

We'd have Tom Hanks saying it's "un-American" to attack them. There would be endless news features about each rainbow club that was destroyed, but there would be some righteous victim vowing to rebuild, with a bunch of guys with T-shits tied around their waists and spandex shorts on cheering in the background. We'd hear about Abdullah, who's been a homo his whole life, who valiantly escaped the shelling with his 10 lovers through a tunnel they dug to Egypt. And how their "love" never waivered during it all.

And if the massacre was good enough, they might even be able to score an exhibit at the Museum of InTolerance.

You will see Zionized Hollywood celebs proudly sporting AIDS pink ribbons, gay marriage rights signs and FREE TIBET T-shirts.

But when's the last time you saw one of those drones flossing a FREE PALESTINE T-shirt???
