But considering the way this brother dominated - his fall off is striking.
Age is a boxer's worst enemy.
That said, Joe Calzaghe is only 3 years younger at 36...and George Foreman was still fighting competently up until 48.
I can't think of one boxer that's ever retired with his dignity (and his bank account) in tact. From Joe Louis to Ali to Roy Jones, all the great ones can't let go.
I never liked Roy anyways. I always felt he woofed too much shet not to have ever fought anyone.
Ali never lost his dignity.
I'd say Larry Holmes took some of Ali's dignity.
