Is Lisa Lampanelli The Funniest White Woman In America?

DIVERSITY TRAINING
Mandatory routines like this in corporations, schools and on the job site would bring Americans closer together than any legislation or March on Washington.

$64K Question: Which "Group"
Does Lamanelli Fail To Lampoon?

Funniest white woman in America? Abso-fucking-lutely.

If you haven’t seen her live on stage, change that. Watching Lisa Lampanelli work, you understand what Don Rickles was about in his prime.

I saw her in L.A. last year (and blogged about it). She brings together an incredibly diverse crowd. Couples, gays, every ethnic group.

Any entertainer who can do that is just what America needs right now. This clip is great, DV.

Figures that you two would consider this dreck funny.

Denmark Vesey said...

Figures Fisher resents the mockery of his Church of Perpetual Racism.

But no. Let me guess. Lisa Lampinelli embodies The Global System of White Supremacy because ... she's .. white .. of course.

What did LL do that 85% of black comedians on Def Comedy Jam haven't done?

It's different how ____________ ?

Holding people to a standard you don't hold yourself is evidence of subservience.

Undercover Black Man said...

Fisher: I bet Paul Mooney thinks she's funny.

Michael Fisher said...

Who says I'm a fan of Def Comedy Jam?

In any case, the woman is doing nothing different than what Michael Richards was doing.

And yes, there is a difference between comedic-ironic self-depreciation by black folks and depreciation of black folks by white people.

Problem with you is, DV, you love white folks so much you think that getting pissed on by white people is being anointed with holy oil.

Michael Fisher said...

Mills, I don't give a good fuck whether Paul Mooney thinks she is funny. She is a racist ass bitch. The fact that you like her is not surprising given your racial predilections.

Denmark Vesey said...

Fisher please ...

lol. Your little Negro Race Cop routine is as played out as a subprime loan.

If some ugly fat stray white comedienne can control how you feel ... with her words ... you need to be on a plantation someplace.

Michael Fisher said...

"If some ugly fat stray white comedienne can control how you feel..."

I ain't feeling anything either way. I'm just stating the fact that the woman is delivering a racist routine.
Like I said, you like to get pissed on, that's on you. Me, I move outta the way or get an umbrella.

Denmark Vesey said...

No you don't Mike.

You open your mouth wide, wallow in it, roll around on the floor and then talk about a Global System of Piss Supremacy.

I think she's funny to and as usual I see both of your points.. but... I never heard her make a generalization about "white guys" except they wouldn't fuck her. I think she's funny too but the "gsws"says that we shouldnt notice that although she did attack white ppl it was because they were gay or bald not because they were white. Im just saying. Wow she said she "had to grow a chicken wing down there" come on mike... that was funny. BUT the "minorities" were fodder for the majority of ppl in there who werent bald gay black hispanic or chinese... Fact... would I be up in there laughing? yeah but only because she's funny. It's racist but it's also comedy.

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry...I don't like a fould mouthed woman, period. I don't care if she is black, white, purple or orange.

If she was a man, I may be able to take it better, but I don't know.

DV, I feel where you are coming from in terms of not letting others define how you feel about yourself. I am all for that. But I also feel that given the very recent nature of extreme racism in America - lynchings, separate but equal, etc. this form of "comedy" is not at all funny to me.

The social perspective of an individual who has suffered at the hands of racism and an individual who has benefited by virtue of their "race" is vastly different. Given that, I don't feel that this is either funny or appropriate.

Michael Fisher said...

DV...

"You open your mouth wide..."

So, DV.., When you cruise Santa Monica Blvd at night you let a yellow hanky hang outta your back pocket?

How does one even come up with stuff like that? You into some real sick imagery there.

Michael Fisher said...

Soteria...

"DV, I feel where you are coming from in terms of not letting others define how you feel about yourself."

Soteria, this is not about having others define how you feel aboiut yourself. That's a strawman DV puts up. It's just about making a factual observation. Like when you see a cockroach you say "there's a cockroach". That doesn't mean that you let the cockroach define your feelings. If you don't care for cockroaches you will remove it from your house by calling the exterminator or exterminating the vermin yourself.

DV obviously likes cockroaches.

Denmark Vesey said...

Soteria,

I see what you are saying.

However, I see a very dangerous booby trap in what I call the "Mike Fisher Perspective" (white people have power ... blacks don't ... ergo individual white people cannot say or do certain things ... that's OK for blacks to do ... because we have no power"

Ill makes a good point too. I suggest the most empowering thing for blacks to do, is not bitch about what whites do ... but to do our own thing.

When Lisa sits down, let Jamie Fox stand up and do his thing.

Global System of Comedy Supremacy.

Who's going to win that battle?

Undercover Black Man said...

So, Michael... if you ran your own country (Fishbabwe), how would you deal with an entertainer like this? Restrictions on speech? Arrest? Mob action?

If so, who the fuck would want to live in Fishbabwe?

I urge you to explore the healing power of laughter. (Especially "transgressive" laughter.) And stop being such a humorless douche. To that end, I suggest you cop the Don Rickles CD "Hello Dummy."

Michael Fisher said...

Mills...

"So, Michael... if you ran your own country (Fishbabwe), how would you deal with an entertainer like this? Restrictions on speech? Arrest? Mob action?"

WTF? What is with you and your assumptions about me lately, David? Did you fall off a curb and bump your head?

Who said that I would censor the racist bitch in any way? I don't believe in censorship. If you notice I don't even censor the comment section on the Assault. Truth usually beats out lies. And truth needs air to breathe.

The bitch still ain't funny though.

Michael Fisher said...

DV...

"ergo individual white people cannot say or do certain things"

Dang. Is it the California air or something?

I didn't say that Lampowhatever can't do what she does. I said what she does is racist dreck. If she want to do racist garbage she can do that all day long.

In fact, I wasn't even talking about her initially. My initial observation was that I wasn't surprised that you and Mills would find that dreck funny.

Undercover Black Man said...

I refuse to believe that you didn't laugh during that clip, Michael.

Denmark Vesey said...

UBM,

I don't think Mike laughed during that clip.

Laughing, would require he let go of his victim status for 3.5 minutes.

Laughing would be an act of freedom.

Laughing would require Mike see Lampanelli as just a fat ugly comedian as opposed to a mythical White Woman endowed with power and privilege because of her whiteness.

Laughing would require Mike place his Quixotic quest to ... prove ... the existence of a Global System of "White" Supremacy on pause.

Nah, Mike sat stone faced, dreaming up ways to leverage this routine as an example of white privilege and black collusion.

I laughed anticipating the comeback.

Mike doesn't understand, that Lampanelli just opened the door for a black comeback.

Which is more empowering than Negros begging for white altruism and largesse.

Undercover Black Man said...

^ During the Flavor Flav roast, best believe other comics went after Lampanelli's looks. And she didn't sit there crying. She laughed.

Michael Fisher said...

"During the Flavor Flav roast..."

That roast was the most painful and pathetic and certainly unfunny thing I've seen yet. Especially given that I count Flav as a friend.

Anonymous said...

That flavor flav roast was one of the funniest shows I have ever seen.

I'm about to youtube it right now.

I didn't find her roll on the floor funny either. Not because of the material, but because if you have seen her once, you have seen her a million times. The act is always the same.

Has anyone ever heard a funny attractive female comic yet?

I don't think I have.

I think fugly chicks were forced to become comics because they had no other choices. And many are also lesbian. Reminds me of feminists (like Andrea Dworkin) who are often also fugly and lesbian.

Bitterness and laughter being 2 different coping mechanisms to living life as a devalued fugly woman "cruelly" rejected by men. When life sucks like that, guess you can get angry, bitter or laugh to cover the tears...

shut up brydeye! Im joking.. well DV the answer to that question issssssss....... white "guys"! heterosexual white males. Yes she picked on a presumably heterosexual wm but not white males as a group.... hand over my money things aren't going as smooth with the career as I'd like.

Hey, you know it's true ill.

Let's just think of a few famous female comics here:

Ellen Degeneres (unattractive lesbian)
Whoopi (fugly)
Roseanne (fat & foul)
Margaret Cho (fugly, fat & bi-ish)
Lisa Lampanelli (I rest my case)

Let's face it, these were the outcast girls sitting home alone who never went to prom. So, they turned to writing jokes instead.

Breathing California air.....
No victim status here........
And she's nowhere near funny.

Denmark Vesey said...

"And she's nowhere near funny."

Politically Correct Nonsense

If she wasn't funny why were hundreds of people laughing hysterically with tears running down their faces?

The self-righteous holier than thou victim politics of liberals interferes with their ability to acknowledge reality.

Everyone can benefit from laughing at themselves. Blacks, Whites, Mexicans, Asians, Women, Men ... and even Jews ... included.

Anonymous said...

DV,
Did I say anything about being unable to laugh at myself? Or about being PC?
What I DO find funny is how you've labeled me a self righteous liberal without knowing a fuckin' thing about me.
All I said was
a)I'm in Cali and am not one who finds her funny
b)I don't have a victim status, yet I don't think she's funny.
c)She's not fucking funny - funny is relative.
Do I need a D?
Paul Mooney = Funny
Bernie Mac = Funny
Steven Wright, Ellen, Eddie, and this kid, Johnny Sanchez = funny.

^ NO! But DV said there were "HUNDREDS of people laughing HYSTERICALLY with tears running down their faces"! It has to be funny. He said so!
