Interesting and thought full answer. Equating mental illness with an ordinary behavior choice in a free society may be just a bit reckless though don't you think? If those people who act and dress oddly are not allowed to do so it could threaten all of us with limits to freedom of expression. They might take away the Popes red shoes... and his cape and so forth and even though he looks ridiculous as does a lot of peoples choices... society benefits by being open with diversity.
I call it mental illness, you call it ordinary behavior. Regardless of this fact, as we speak, there are a dozen nuts FREELY walking around NYC claiming TO BE the Pope.
- "Skylar" is walking around the Bay area all-but verbally claiming to be a dude.
- Who said anything about allowed? Skylar and the NYC nuts can do whatever they want to do; as no one is infringing on their ability, freedom and right to be whoever they think they are. It is INDEED infringing on everyone else's rights to be forced to accept and cosign on it. The only difference is that you've bought into the hype. I haven't.
- This is NOT about sexuality, it's about something else that they're too afraid to admit.
I've never thought about impersonating a man.
