When that lil boy sauntered his ass across the parking lot at the start of the video with his pants hanging all down, I was ready to volunteer. Talkin bout he was mad at his mama....I came from a family where it was made very clear that neither of my parents gave a damn if I called myself being mad at them.
There are indeed bigger issues here, but that boy would have gotten it from me.
"if you mad, you need to scratch ya'butt and get glad!" - was what my pappy used to tell me if I had the nerve and audacity to even try to go there.
Of course, that's exactly what my chirren hear from me, and with it, the implied threat of violence which their "higher angels" have been carefully trained to avoid at all costs.

my goodness, I put my hands on other people's children for exponentially less provocation than that, and have been known to discipline parents who've lost their natural minds in the process too.

If that crucial childhood training goes missing, the essential building blocks of conscience and character go unformed and can never subsequently be formed absent some profound boot camp/penitentiary type breaking down and building back up.
Cnu my mom used to say that to me! [I sure do love black folk] But that was in the initial more playful stages of any incident. If I kept on, it got a lot more serious and very quickly.
Oh, and BTW, in college I wrote a paper on this....
