Shaq Traded To Phoenix. How Strange Is That?

When is the last time you heard one of those 'Kobe Haters' say the Lakers "shoulda traded Kobe and kept Shaq"?

its only worth it if they win it all over the next 2yrs. I don't see that happening. if you look at it like phx was going to lose marion anyway, a shot at a ring might be worth getting him, just not for the $40M left on the contract.

Superb and absolutely necessary for the Suns to have any realistic chance of getting pass the Lakers' front line in the post-season.

Shaq will give them 9 points and 4 rebounds. He's 340 pounds and in his late 30s. The greatest center ever is riding off into the sunset. I say we sign him as a Laker and then retire him the same day.

KP,

I know you hate the fact that the Lakers got Pau! LOL!

This IS a great trade. FOR THE LAKERS. Its kind of unfair to Shaq's legacy that Kobe will now cement himself as the greater player and one the only player to rival MJ by messing over shaq and the newly invigorated / depleted Suns. Shaq's has deteriorated. His fluctuating motivation over his career depended on his youth and freakish physical gifts to rebound at the right time. He's no longer young and I fear his elasticity is not what he believes it is.

Mark my words, the warrior, Kobe, will win. And it will, fairly or unfairly, change the conversation forever.

Go Lake Show,
